The United States should stop sending weapons to
the Ukraine. U.S. weapons will do more harm than good
over there.
Even if the Ukraine and its current leadership
claims that U.S. weapons will be used for
defending the Ukraine only how does Russia know
that future Ukrainian councilpeople and presidents
will not use warehouses full of U.S. weapons
to invade Russia and kill poor Russian civilians?
A medium sized example of the unreliability of groups
of elected politicians is the Los Angeles City Council which
passed 41.18 in 2021 after debating and a councilman who opposed
requiring homeless people to remain standing forever
decided to add in a time limit to each enforcement
zone that does not exceed one year so each enforcement zone
that prohibits sitting lying sleeping and storage of
personal property on the public right of way within
500 feet of its address should expire after only one year
and its signs should then be removed.
Today I discovered signs for a large enforcement zone that
started enforcement on February 03 2022 and should have ended on
February 03 2023 but the signs are still posted on
June 05 2023. ( already 16 months instead of only 12 months. )
The councilman who had opposed permanent enforcement zones
has been term limited out so he is no longer able to remind
the 14 other councilmembers in Los Angeles to vote to
terminate enforcement at locations that have already been
enforcement zones for one year.
The text of L.A. 41.18 includes a one year time limit for each
enforcement zone.
Try to imagine poor civilians in Russia. New elected politicians
in the Ukraine are probably not going to limit themselves to using
vast stockpiles of U.S. weapons only to defend the Ukraine. Many of
the Ukrainians running for office are planning on invading Russia
and punishing Russia with powerful weapons that were provided
by the United States.
Back in 2021 Homeless Americans exercised their right to peacefully
protest against Los Angeles 41.18 and its enforcement zones.
Does Vladimir Putin have a right to protest against the United
States continuing to send weapons to the Ukraine that might be used
by the next group of Ukrainian politicians to invade Russia and
kill poor Russian civilians by introducing a resolution to the
United Nations that requests that the United States stop sending
any additional weapons to the Ukraine?
