The prices of eggs in the US soar as 45 million chickens in 2015 have died of avian flu. They have been spared any more of the hideous cramped cages,1 ft by 3 ft, in which they are kept as they are debeaked to keep them from pecking each other to death from the overcrowding. They have been spared the brutal deaths of chain saw or knife. Human beings are spared the salmonella, campylobacter, cholesterol, food poisoning, uric acid and other toxins or diseases associated with chicken eggs or flesh.
