The spirit of Michael Brown lives on after his death in freeway closures, in actions at shopping malls and in the resignation of Darren Wilson.
In San Diego ,a Christian interfaith group holding a weekly prayer vigil for the safe return of Jonah Rief to his mother Tammy Rief, turned from hope of life to the tragedy of a teen who lost his life before his time. Anita Long spoke for the group in saying, "All children deserve a life of freedom. Michael has a family who has suffered the most tragic loss any family can suffer."
Jonah Rief, the subject of the vigil, was trafficked to Australia in early 2013 and was last seen when the traffickers put nude promotional photos of him on FaceBook in March of 2013. The Interfaith prayer group has put the matter in God's hands and is praying that he is alive and will return safely. Anita discussed the trafficking. "Jonah's mother Tammy has been told by friends of the traffickers that her son is dead but she trusts that God wouldn't have brought her so far in her search unless Jonah were alive and well. No mother should go through the loss of a child."
Anyone with information regarding Jonah Rief is being asked to contact the Rief Family in Alabama, where Jonah lived with his mother until his abduction.
