National Reparations Day at Tragniew Park in Compton, March 6, 2014
We seek your help to spread the word and be a part of “A Day of Demand National Reparations Day.”
Compton, CA, January 30—The National Reparation Day Committee (NRDC) will hold its 2nd annual Day of Demand National Reparations Day on March 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to demand Reparations for Descendants of Black African Slaves (DOBAS). This event is free.
It will be held at Tragniew Park, 839 South Central Avenue in Compton, California, on the corner of Alondra and Central. Groups, organizations, businesses, nonprofits and entertainers are welcome to participate. Sponsors are also needed to help fund the event. An essay contest with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to high school students. A speakers’ forum will include local officials, community activists and leaders in the Reparations movement. There will also be entertainment from local and out of state acts.
This event will be hosted by Mollie Bell “Straight Out Of Compton.”
To participate in this free event, complete and return vendor/speakers/booth registration form by February 22, 2014. There is no charge to vendors.
