Join Empty Cages LA for a demonstration on July 13th at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in front of the Tom Bradley International Terminal for a demonstration against China Southern Airlines. We will have activists inside and outside of the terminal and at the China Southern ticket counters.

When: July 13th, 2013

Where: LAX

Time: 6PM. The demonstration will start promptly at 6:15PM and end around 8PM

Meet: In front of the Tom Bradley terminal on the upper level departures.

Note: We will need some strong outreach people at this event. There should be a lot of foot traffic. Signs, Banner, and literature will be provided.


We have information that China Southern is becoming more involved in the transportation of primates into the US and Europe and plan on increasing the number of primates they ship by the thousands.
US and European labs and scrambling to keep a hold on China Southern. They are offering to pay more and more and are organizing phone and email actions to persuade China Southern to continue the shipments.
It is vital that we cut the the supply china from China to the United States and we can do this by putting pressure on China Southern here in Los Angeles.

China Southern Airlines is the last Chinese airline to continue transporting primates for vivisection.
Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and Hainan Airlines have all confirmed that they will no longer transport primates.

China Southern Airlines regularly transport monkeys from Guangzhou (China), to Chicago (USA), and Paris (France), where the animals are distributed to laboratories across the USA and Europe. As the only transporter of primates from China, it’s suspected that China Southern Airlines are transporting up to 1,200 animals a month and it is scheduled to increase by the thousands.

*We are targeting China Southern airlines as a part of the Gateway to Hell Campaign because they are the only supplier of primates from China to labs in the US and Europe. We will not tolerate any racist/ anti-Chinese statements on any of our pages or at any of our events. There are many dedicated activists in China and other Asian countries working to bring about animal liberation. Empty Cages LA is dedicated to anti-racism and anti-speciesism as interconnected struggles against oppression.
