Syria's Uprising Descends into Civil War

Interview with Chris Toensing, editor of Middle East Report, conducted by Scott Harris

As Syria enters its 16th month of a popular uprising which has killed an estimated 10,000 people, reports of civilian massacres mark an escalation of violence some observers believe has now developed into a civil war. A U.N. report found that 108 civilians were killed, including 49 children and 34 women, in an attack that began on May 25 in the village of Houla, northwest of the city of Homs. Another massacre on June 6 that killed 49 was reported in the town of Qubeir, also near Homs. Human rights groups assert that the heavy bombardment of population centers in opposition strongholds continue across Syria.

yet another war started with lies

by PrionPartyy Tuesday, Jun. 19, 2012 at 4:10 PM

What if they had a "popular uprising" and nobody came? You don't need to ask that question. Just look at Syria and you get the answer.

There is no "popular uprising". There is fighting in some border areas that the locals are not joining. But there are no masses of locals protesting the government. Instead, the media shows us video of protests in Iraq and even India, and we are told by the media that the protests took place in Syria. Yes, INDIA!!! And they have the nerve to tell you it was Syrians protesting their government.

There are massacres. But they are carried out against pro government locals. You see massacres in the towns but somehow, cannon fire directed at the edges of those towns gets blamed for the deaths of people killed by small arms and knives far away.

Look at a map of the conflict. Fighting started in border areas and then spread out a little bit into the country before the outsiders fighting in Syria started getting their @$$e$ kicked. The mercenaries have lost several ammo dumps they had set up and are now just hopping other outsiders take their side or they are hopping that they can blend into the local population and just slip away, which isn't going to happen. It is only a matter of time until the "popular uprising" has a face, and the supporters of those outsiders gets exposed as well.

Some people don't think twice about lying to you. Maybe you should ask yourselves why.

these dependable propagandists never quit, do they? Interviewing the most reactionary liars they can get ( money sure does talk a lot! ) so someone in another land can have their homes and lives obliterated for the merchants of death and the oil cartels.

Why aren't these NATO death squads killing Syrians,. called out for what and who they are?
