Subject: Venice Locals Sought for People Living in Vehicles Film

Hi from Jeff Girard.

First, thank you to all of the folks I’ve met in Venice in person or online who have interviewed with me and have also helped me with research and, finding interviews for my documentary about people living in vehicles.

Again, I am doing a documentary on people living in cars, trucks, vans, and SUVs. I have filmed in the East Bay, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Venice Beach.

In Venice Beach, I have interviewed:
Mark R. of the Venice Stakeholders Association
Linda L. of the Venice Neighborhood Council
Lisa Green, a Venice Beach artist living in a van
Rudy of PATH

Councilman Rosendalh’s office declined my request for an interview and the LAPD has not returned my calls.

In addition to Rosendalh and the LAPD, I would still like to interview:
-somebody opposed to people living in vehicles
-somebody opposed to Penmar Golf as a parking location
-another woman living in a vehicle (for gender balance)
-a non-white person living in a vehicle (for racial diversity)
-a family living in a vehicle

I must leave the Venice Beach area no later than Wednesday morning.
