The general strike is the only effective weapon labor has to put an end to the capitalist profit motive that is the cause of all our grief. Michael Moore reports that LABOR IN WISCONSIN IS PREPARING FOR A GENERAL STRIKE! California has several solidarity rallies planned for Feb 22.

Let's start talking about a...

GENERAL STRIKE!!!

"This evening I received word that the 45,000 member Southern Central

Federation of Labor, the local chapter of the AFL-CIO for the Madison

and Southern Central Wisconsin area, has voted to make

preparations for a general strike." – Mike Elk, reporting

from Madison for MichaelMoore.com

He then provides history lessons with Labor Videos of General Strikes.

For each, there is a list on the right side of other videos of labor actions.

THE TORCH IS PASSED TO THE NEXT GENERATION OF STRUGGLE:

'This Is Our House'

"The Wisconsin Capitol has become the Paris Commune meets an old school

Midwestern union hall. Every night there are discussions of labor history

and labor film showings. It’s almost as if the lacking labor-youth

solidarity that derailed progress during the 60’s has finally

been found in Madison, Wisconsin." – Mike Elk
