ARROYO IS STILL WRONG IN SAYING THE RIGHT THING

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in defending her declaration of martial law in Maguindanao said:“we can only have justice when there is peace.” She was playing with words. Just like with everything else. GMA played with the Congress and let them hold a useless session just to pull the rug under them by “lifting” the martial law she declared beforehand. She played around with the Supreme Court by giving them a fait accompli and rendering the case “moot.”

ARROYO IS STILL WRONG IN SAYING THE RIGHT THING

Los Angeles--Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in defending her declaration of martial law in Maguindanao said:“we can only have justice when there is peace.”

She was playing with words.

Just like with everything else. GMA played with the Congress and let them hold a useless session just to pull the rug under them by “lifting” the martial law she declared beforehand. She played around with the Supreme Court by giving them a fait accompli and rendering the case “moot.”

She was clearly playing with the provisions of the 1987 Philippine Constitution when she declared the Maguindanao Massacre - perpetuated by the Ampatuans against political rivals, journalists and innocent bystanders constitute an act of rebellion.

Hardly ever "real justice" or the equitable dispensing of it has been a prerogative under the U.S.-Arroyo Regime. It does only takes a minute for them to disperse unarmed demonstrators in Manila while it took the administration almost three weeks to muster enough courage to reign in the Ampatuans.

Questions are emerging lately even within the ranks of the "TRAPOS" whether the declaration of Martial Law in Maguindanao was a brazen attempt to scuttle the criminal investigation and prosecution of the Ampatuan clan - a staunch Arroyo ally.

When the culture of impunity marches with greater impunity. When the suppose leader of the land makes a mockery of the law, bends it and interprets it to her own expediency— what degree of impunity must we call it?

No amount of rhetoric can save GMA from her legacy of impunity. She is defending the indefensible. Like the Fascist Dictator Marcos, she belongs to the dustbin of history.

It is right after all to shout --again and again: NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!

OUST GMA NOW!
