RESOLUTELY FIGHT ALL US-ARROYO SCHEMES TO PERPETUATE THEMSELVES IN POWER: NO TO MARTIAL LAW!

The Alliance Philippines strongly expresses its militant support to the people’s movement oppose to the declaration of martial law and the suspension of the writ of habeas corpus in the province of Maguindanao.

Besides being late and delayed for a long time, martial law was declared for the wrong reasons. Legal observers suspects that the US GMA regime schemes to elevate the warlord clan of the Ampatuans as “ rebels”, By charging them with the crime of rebellion, GMA is giving them a way out . By elevating them from being common criminals, they can be pardoned by being charged with rebellion because it is a political crime.

The AJLPP believes the US-Arroyo regime is flexing its muscles, is testing the waters and laying the ground work for declaration of martial law for the whole country, The Filipinos should be wary because GMA absolutely controls the military, the courts and the lower house of Congress.

This later maneuvers by the fascist quartet of DND Bert Gonzales-Ermita, Puno and Mike Arroyo is a “Moro-moro( a farce) to get the Ampatuan off the hook and deodorize the unpopular regime. We will not be surprised if the Ampatuans will be pardoned like all the criminals pardoned by GMA.

The supposed to be discovery of thousands of heavy arms and ammunition and the existence of the private armies of the Ampatuans in Maguindanao is a proof that the US-Arroyo regime and US imperialism is a party to the dastardly massacre that killed 59 people including 31 journalist last November 23.

The NDF and the MILF should not be lulled into the supposed peace talks with the GRP and the AFP drive against the Ampatuans. They should make the US-Arroyo regime and the Ampatuans pay for their bloody crimes gains the people.

They should be on alert and take the interest of the people at heart and relentlessly pursue the armed struggle against the ruling class that have piled up bloody crimes against the people. Then and only then, true peace with justice can be achieved throughout the land.
