Public School is Poison for our Children

by Oasis Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 at 9:18 PM

School cuts are destroying projects that are an antidote to school, schools have been limiting our children's rights and school can't teach our children but force them to memorize which we won't remember later.

Here we are in a bad economy that is somewhat improving and California's budget is negative so our Local Politicians are cutting our school budget, which includes less buses, less programs to improve our children and less teachers. Here are the negative effects of our modern world's school: Not every child learns the same way or learns at the same speed The Arts are very important for children they allow our children to grow and be their selves thus improving their mental thought Obesity is on the rise and yet schools are cutting back on Physical Education which will allow for obesity to grow which will destroy our children's thinking and damage thier fitness Teachers are being cut so not only are class sizes are going to become larger but their are less teachers with different ways to teach Ever lived far away from our school of choice, since the budget for buses are being cut you would either have to drive your children to school, have them ride a bus overstuffed with kids or have them go to the local school where it possibly more dangerous and not fitting for your children I heard they were cutting down on Janitors if this is true then the school will become trashy and also more difficult to learn in Ever been bullied, well your child is more likely to be bullied since the admnistrators are being let go. The budget cuts are going to limit programs such as ones to help high school kids go to college and field trips and equitment for school such as stuff for sports, replacing broken or old desks, tables ect. Our schools are limiting what our children can say/write and wear. No hats unless for religion or white baseball caps. The administrators get to censor by law the official newspaper that students make for the school. No sandals. Even the PE uniform is limiting like no slipons, white socks only. Only black/grey sweatshirt or sweatpants. They can't say they dislike a teacher's way of teaching. Sometimes the schools force them to wear uniforms. Here's another thing to think about, what if the way school teaches us to think and know was wrong? Well that's correct, schools don't really teach but force the students to memorize things, not learning it because later in life they will often forget such things and keep in mind someone might learn when 3 to read and someone can when 5. To learn you must want to learn it and understand the foundation of it. To learn means that you don't have to go to school to know that. I have one question and that is why are our children stuck in prison like buildings forced to memorize, have their rights limited and have their programs and learning aids by taken away because our government can't afford it?
