Where's NADER ?

by sidestepper Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 at 7:19 PM

Independent means not being the same as all other media but indymedia here in LA seems to not be able to dissent from the 'ole 2 partied established system' either. Where's Nader on this website ?

Why are there no articles or information about NADER running for president on Indymedia here ?

He is on the ballot in 46 states now, which is more than any other non-Dem-Rep candidate has.

He is on the California ballot, right now !

He is still trying to give us Another Choice, other than the limited ones that have and will DOMINATE all our news and views thru Nov 4 and beyond too. We have more than 2 choices, or did you realize that ?

He is an alternative, a proven-fighter

for our constitutional rights,

for stopping the Iraq War,

for stopping predatory lending,

for end of corporate personhood [they are not people but have rights as if and benefits people dont have too]

for crackdown on corporate tax avoidance

for end of corporate welfare

to reclaim public airwaves [yes they are Ours ! not the users who dont pay us for their abuse/use]

to limit commercialism

to provide single payer healthcare

to invest in a clean energy policy [finally ]

to fix the pnesion systems

to make politicans accountable [imagine that one !]

to enact workers bill of rights

to shift taxes [to be more equitable]

to end poverty with green jobs

to REPEAL THE PATRIOT ACT

to reverse US foreign policy [and regain our reputation]

to REFORM ELECTIONS

to insure a living wage and pass pro-union laws

and more too...

NADER has a PROVEN record ....yes, research this on Wikipedia or Google or anywhere, even history books...

He has a record of dedicated -diligent- intelligent -continual WORK TO IMPROVE OUR DAILY LIVES in many ways...

starting with the danger of car design problems, and onward to many other projects.

A Vote for Nader is a vote of CHOICE,

a Vote for Nader is a vote of Positive Action

not a vote by peer-pressure or advertised promises or lies.

A vote for Nader is a conscious positive choice.

Stop voting Against someone to protect from the 'other danger" ....hoping that icon you have been advertised & campaigned & sold on may ....become a benefit, maybe.... later....maybe not.

Vote FOR someone you can trust, who has for a long, long time proven himself as a dedicated humane being and activist for so many years. Not born yesterday. Not angling for power to prove 'him'self.

Not selling fake promises and 'hope' [an abstract concept]. Not a promise of 'change' and then voting the same - for the $700B bailout for Wall St & banks.

Or chose someone you really think can make a big big change in YOUR LIFE.

Vote for someone you know you can trust based on his proven record over so many years.

how about voting for Nader for a change ?

Post something then

by FYI Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008 at 7:34 PM

This is an open publishing site. All content on the site comes from the readers. That means you. If you want more Nader on the site then publish something.

Post a report on his latest visit to LA.

Post analysis of his platform.

Post a video of his latest speech.

But don’t post an article complaining that there is nothing about Nader on the site.

Post was done. Read above.

by sidestepper Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at 6:28 PM

Why are complaints not acceptable forms of communication here ?

The complaint was to all those who only think there are 2 choices and only write about O or M.

The post above DID list some of Nader's platform points.

It did not go on and on about it and was intended obviously to point out that third parties are neglected in all media, including this one by us, populusi too.

Like a click reminder to see Nader as ON the ballot too,

instead of just ignore all possibilities.

This is "not allowed" by those who read this post ? huh ?

To be reprimanded "for complaining" is just another one-up, critical, superiority attempt, and of no help to anyone at all. Thanks for tell us what we can write and where...or did the critic of this post, aka "FYI", not read the entire post ? the implication stated is that this writer is too dumb to know what can be written on indymedia, and needs to be put in some lowered place.

Critiques are complaints also. No compliments found.

" FYI "complained about the above complaint. duh......

Maybe Nader is not to be mentioned here because this is the negative response made to the question asked ?

NADER IS described positively, so what's the complaint ?

by another Naderite Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at 6:50 PM

The information in the article was positive of Nader. So what is all this about complaints anyhow ?

I see 1 question, which is asked a question and then gave a lot of reasons why Nader is a good candidate.

Maybe "FYI" did not like the admiration expressed for a candidate that "FYI" wants to denigrate by attacking the positive post on Nader ?

It sure looks like an attack instead of a comment to me.

Who here is attempting to pretend to give information about how or when to post here but actually is being demeaning and angry at a poster For-Nader here ?

I just dont get it. Why is the posting person being told off ?

Vote for whomever you want but dont stop others from saying something different than you want.

And anyone can ask any question here as long as it is not devious, hateful, angry and ugly. We dont have to agree. We do have to give each other equal & fair opportunities to vote for our own conscience. And write about out choices too.

Mine is a vote for Nader. Wanna argue about that one ?

Is "FYI "gonna now tell me too that I cant say this on indymedia here ?
