The bill included money for public infrastructure, including Amtrak, and for medicaid, food stamps, and unemployment benefits.
This bill raises a question for Republicans: how they can support $700 billion for Wall Street and oppose $56 billion for ordinary Americans.
It produces an even tougher question for Democrats: how they can support $700 billion for Wall Street but only $56 billion for ordinary Americans.
