George Bush John McCain Sarah Palin Iraq War Surge a Total Disaster

by Karen Fish Sunday, Sep. 07, 2008 at 5:16 AM

Mission not accomplished.

George Bush John McC...

Do you remember that on March 20, 2003 George Bush, Dick Cheney and John McCain invaded Iraq? Do you remember that George Bush, in a fit of premature celebration on May 1, 2003 stood on the deck of the USS Abraham Linclon and trumpeted, “Mission Accomplished” to the cheering sailors and a cheering nation? Well now, in the sequel to the lie of the century, this week, John McCain and Sarah Palin are standing on the deck of the Xcel Energy Center and declaring, “Surge Accomplished, Victory in Iraq is at Hand”. Oh that it were so.

John McCain and Sarah Palin are now trying to ride “Surge Accomplished” to victory in the Nov. 4, Presidential election. Lets take a step back in order to see where we all are now. When George Bush declared “Mission Accomplished” what did he mean by the word “Mission”? By now, all but the most naïve know that the mission was not to protect America by disarming Saddam Hussein of weapons of mass destruction, or to bring democracy to Iraq. Lets all say it together now, “We invaded Iraq to steal their oil.”

We were promised by George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and John McCain, the leaders of the neo-con movement which has steered the good ship America for the past eight years and are now begging for another eight years that our soldiers would be welcomed by Iraqis with showers of rose petals and that there was so much oil that the Iraq War, and the rebuilding of Iraq would be done at no expense to the American taxpayer; that the Iraqis would gladly pay for it in their gratitude for being liberated from Saddam Hussein.

A lie only has power over you if you believe it. Psychiatrist M. Scott Peck called the lies of the evil people obvious and endless. The only way to remove power from the liars is to stop believing their lies and empty threats and false promises and throw the bums out. Sarah Palin has told the nation twice now that Congress offered her $223 million for the bridge to nowhere and she said, “Thanks but no thanks.” This was to assure Americans that she would end wasteful spending. The crowd and the American people cheered her wildly.

Oh that the words of Sarah palin had been true. The fact is that the bridge to nowhere was Sarah Palin’s baby. The building of the bridge to nowhere was Sarah Palin’s campaign issue in her run for Governor. Sarah Palin rebuked people for saying that it was a bridge to nowhere, saying that Gravina Island was “somewhere”, and that her detractors were “sexist”. In order to see how Sarah Palin will spend your tax dollars, Sarah received and kept the $223 million, and spent tens of millions of dollars building a road on Gravina Island to link up to the bridge.

Gravina Island has a population of 50 people who take a short ferry ride to the mainland. The bridge to nowhere was to be the size of the Golden Gate Bridge, and it was to connect tiny Ketchikan, Alaska, population 10,000, to Gravina Island, population 50. Only when the Congress got outed for this joke, did Sarah Palin stop building Sarah Palin’s Bridge to Gravina.

I hate to rain on your Iraq War victory parade, announced by John McCain and Sarah Palin in Saint Paul, but as Yogi Berra said, “It ain’t over till it’s over.” Sportscaster and beauty-queen wannabee Sarah Palin should know that much.

What was the objective of the “Surge” of George Bush, Dick Cheney and John McCain? The objective of the “Mission” is the exact same as the objective of the “Surge”, to steal the Iraqis’ oil. This is the Bush/Cheney/McCain/Palin energy policy and economic policy.

The Republican Party has dressed up their quest for an oil empire in God’s clothing. In 2003 George Bush publicly declared a Christian Crusade against Islam. Sarah Palin is on youtube telling everyone that the Iraq War is a task ordered by God. John McCain is calling “Islamofascism” the greatest threat to the United States and World Peace. Sarah Palin is the religious fanatic who will now ban your right to an abortion if your father rapes you. If DailyKos had not broken “Trig-Gate”, do you think that Sarah Palin would have told her fundamentalist family values followers that Bristol was doing a Jamie Lynn Spears impersonation?

Yesterday, Barack Obama said that “the surge has succeeded beyond our wildest dreams in bringing down the violence in Iraq, BUT, there has still been no political reconciliation in Iraq (the Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds have not reached an agreement over how to share Iraq’s oil revenues after 5 years), the Iraqis still have not agreed to contribute to rebuilding their own country (Iraqi politicians have $100 million in a New York bank), and the Iraq War is still costing the U.S. $11 billion per month (after Bush/Cheney/McCain have taken the Bill Clinton surplus and turned it into a $10 trillion Republican Deficit).”

The Iraqi people want an end to the American Occupation of their country. They don’t want to see another American, or American oil company, ever again. This is because the Americans ethnically cleansed Baghdad, killed one million Iraqi men, women and children, made 4 million Iraqis homeless refugees, and destroyed all essential services. The Iraqi people are seething at the Americans, and this is why the Iraqi politicians and parliament have to hide from their own Iraqi people in the Green Zone.

The Iraqi politicians refuse to pass the National Oil Law on how to share the Iraqi oil – it’s been stuck in the Iraqi parliament for over a year. The Shiites have oil in the south and the east, the Kurds have oil in the North, and the Sunnis in the west have no oil. Because the Sunnis under Saddam Hussein oppressed the Shiites and Kurds, the Shiites and Kurds have no interest in sharing their oil with the Sunnis, let alone with their own personal Hitlers, George Bush, Dick Cheney and John McCain. Just ask Madonna.

Iran is Shiite, like the Prime Minister of Iraq Nouri al-Maliki, and Iran is Iraq’s biggest trading partner. The Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei is in complete control of Iraq now. Vladimir Putin, Hu Jintao, Ali Khamenei and Nouri al-Maliki have formed a strategic military and economic alliance. Russia has built the Iranian nuclear reactor in Bushehr, Iran, and is now delivering to Iran their latest zig zagging unstoppable surface to air and surface to sea missiles. Russia and China are developing the Iranian oil fields. Iraq just handed out their first oil contract - in eatern Iraq next to Iran – to China.

Russia has just threatened to nuke the U.S. missiles and forces in Poland, thanks to the GOP. Russia and China helped tiny North Vietnam defeat the United States. It just took Russia four days to clobber the United States armed and trained Georgian Army. The Baker-Hamilton report said it will cost $2 trillion to re-equip the U.S. military – who is going to loan the U.S. another $2 trillion? The U.S. military is now stretched so thin that it couldn’t even defend tiny Georgia, after sending Michel Sacks Valley in to ethnically cleanse South Ossetia.

Who will loan us the money to rebuild our military? We’re already in default. Now, John McCain and Sarah Palin are crowing that the surge has been a great success, victory in Iraq is at hand, and they are going to conquer the oil fields of Iraq and Iran for Jesus Christ and for the U.S. to become energy independent. If the United States cannot defeat North Vietnam, or Iraq, or Georgia, how are John McCain and Sarah Palin going to steal the oil of and conquer Russia, China, Iraq and Iran, 4 billion enemies armed to the teeth with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons – with a hockey stick? Perhaps the United States should stop using 25% of the Earth’s oil every day, 20 million barrels per day, and like Russia and Germany cut back to 2.5 million barrels per day, or like the vast majority of countries, use under 100,000 barrels per day. The U.S. is already producing 5 million barrels of oil per day, far more than we need. http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/ene_oil_con-energy-oil-consumption

It is unfortunate that John McCain voted against making cars get more miles per gallon. It’s also unfortunate that Sarah Palin doesn’t believe that humans caused global warming and acid rain and pollution and climate change. Perhaps if she knew that, it might give her some incentive to end America’s oil gluttony, leading us all now into more resource wars and extinction in nuclear world war III.

Our father carved in stone Himself, “Do not Murder”, “Do not Steal”, and “Do not Lie”, otherwise I will punish you, your children, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren. How did the Republican hypocrites, murderers, thieves, liars and warmongers become the party of Jesus Christ, “Mr. Pacifist, Mr. do not ever hit back, even in self defense - turn the other cheek, love your enemies, love your neighbor as you love yourself, and blessed are the peacemakers?” Mission Accomplished, Surge Accomplished, Victory in Iraq is at hand, and Sarah Palin is taking orders from God to invade Iran, Iraq, Russia and China with a broken down military and watch her draft your babies for her mission from God.
