Protest signs were raised high and voices even higher outside the civil forum at Saddleback Church in Orange County on Saturday. Hundreds of protestors gathered at the four corners of El Toro Road and Portola Parkway, all with a cause to advocate. A myriad of ages could be seen getting involved, from a 63-year old man, to a six-month-old baby. Local college students taking advantage of their last few summer days could be found smattered among the volatile crowd. Students ranging from Cal State Fullerton to Cal San Marcos were dispersed among the Obama, McCain, and Ron Paul camps.
All attendees had a message that they were hoping to get across to the presidential candidates as they visited Lake Forest to discuss issues facing our country. One can only hope that their voices were heard.
