Israel STILL Beating Iran War Dead Horse

Shades of Iraq ...

Israeli Minister: Iran Could Have Nuclear Bomb Technology Within Months

Thursday, May 01, 2008

JERUSALEM — An Israel Cabinet minister says Iran could have nuclear bomb technology in 2008, at least a year earlier than previously believed.

(Believed by whom, exactly ... ? Having the 'technology' is not the same thing as trying to develop a weapon, but points for trying to change the allegations, as happened with the LIES about Iraq.)

Shaul Mofaz, a former defense minister and military chief, said in a speech Wednesday at Yale University in the United States that Iran could have the knowhow to build nuclear arms within months, his spokeswoman Talia Somech said Thursday. Despite international sanctions meant to persuade Iran to stop the program (of creating power), Tehran is steadily progressing with its pursuit of nuclear technology (to generate electricity), Somech cited Mofaz as saying.

Mofaz is in the U.S. holding talks with American intelligence officials.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's office would not comment on Mofaz's new assessment of the Iranian program.

("New"?)

Iran denies it is trying to build bombs, insisting its program is meant to produce energy. But Israel, the U.S. and other countries are skeptical.

(The Extremists in these countries are not 'skeptical'. They're trying to perpetuate the illusion of a crisis, because they want to attack a third oil-rich, Arab state without provocation.)

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has threatened to destroy Israel.

(No he hasn't. This media outlet (was this just in the AP story, or did Faux News add this?) just published a bald-faced LIE, and should be held accountable for this. It appears that the same media that helped LIE to and betray the American public, which weakly 'apologized' after the fact, is set to do it all over again.)

A recent U.S. intelligence assessment maintains Tehran stopped developing a bomb in 2003.

(Actually, it found that there was no evidence that Iran is trying to develop such weapons, contradicting the Extremists trying to start this war. The media sensationalized this allegation, which focused on a single, dubious source, a CIA Asset and "Iranian defector", reminiscent of the criminal Ahmad Chalabi, whose LIES were used to bolster the Administration's own LIES about Iraq.)

Israel insists Tehran continues to aggressively pursue nuclear weapons.

(But they have absolutely no evidence, and are simply perpetuating this LIE, in the hopes that they can again dupe people into supporting the illegal war they've planned.)

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,353584,00.html

A small memo to Former Defense Minister Mofaz and Ms. Somech: The Iranians, the Russians, and even US intelligence resources (the ones who no doubt remember being used as a scapegoat for Bush/PNAC's LIES about Iraq ...) have all stated, very clearly, that Iran is building a power station.

The IAEA, the UN's nuclear watchdog, says the same thing.

(And after doing so, it's chief was slandered by the Extremists in the US and Israel, and had his phones bugged ...)

But I have to ask: even if Iran was developing nuclear weapons, who could blame them, after having had such a strong object lesson in what happens to countries without a nuclear deterrent, as with what has happened to Iraq?

Using the 'Neo-Con' (Fascist) criterion for a "pre-emptive strike" (a 'legal' illegal act of Aggression), since the US and Israel have been plotting to attack Iran for years now, Iran would be justified in attacking either country. Right?

But Iran doesn't want a war.

Only the Extremists in the US and Israel do ...

And by the way: when will the IAEA have the chance to inspect YOUR nuclear facility at Dimona?

Never?!?!?

Just checking.

Under existing US law, doesn't the fact that Israel maintains clandestine programs of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons (WMD), means that every one of the BILLIONS in US tax dollars the US sends to Israel each and every year is illegal, right?

(Oh, we're not supposed to talk about that ...)

Israel, US Joint Plotting Against Iran, Attack ElBaredei

The largest threat to the region doesn't come from Iran: it comes from Israel's success in having had the US "neutralize" countries which it believes to be an existential threat to it's existence. However, there's just one little problem with this approach concerning Iran. Russia's diplomats have stated unequivocally that any attack against Iran will be perceived as an attack on Russia.
