Boycott Resist!

by Moonbone Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007 at 7:23 PM

Remember: You don’t have to look like a cop to be a cop, and you don’t have to be a cop to do a cop’s work AND if you are doing a cop’s work then you are no longer a member of our community.

Comrades!

In the past few years we have faced a withering barrage of attacks from the state and I am proud to say that we are still standing tall, defiant as ever. Many of our comrades are in prison or facing prison they have behaved honorably, and we honor their sacrifice. But not all of us have behaved with honor, some have sought to shield themselves from their actions by cowering before the state and begging for mercy, to show their contrition they have turned on their own comrades, sending them to prison as effectively as if they had performed the arrest themselves. In a still more sinister turn of events some on the outside continue to support know snitches. I am speaking of the Resist collective’s support for snitch Darren Thurston. Comrades, it sickens me to know such cowards exist within our ranks and it pains my heart to know members of our community continue to support them. It boggles my mind I cannot understand it, why do members of our community continue to support someone who has betrayed us? Is it because of friendship? Love? Who could love a snitch? Resist has attempted to explain, hear them snivel:

http://www.resist.ca./node/143

Let us briefly run over their excuses.

1. Darren “Snitch” Thurston’s support website does not violate their basis of unity or member agreement.

So what they have told us is that snitching does not qualify as something that would cause them to withdraw their support. Perhaps they should adjust their basis of unity/member agreement so their ”principles” do not allow them to support traitors.

2. Snitch Thurston did not tell the FBI anything they did not already know.

Kind of beside the point isn’t it? Assuming he did not, he still in fact did named people involved thus helping the government build a stronger case. He agreed to testify against his former comrades. That is unacceptable.

3. Cutting off support to a known snitch would be playing into the hands of the FBI.

In other words by fighting the enemy you are helping them, Orwellian doublethink in my estimation.

In revolutionary movements passed snitching or supporting informants effectively a death sentence. However, since we are not in a revolution and many don’t have the stomach for it, I would suggest a lighter sanction: BOYCOTT RESIST!

Don’t donate money!

Follow the noble example of Wii’nimkiikaa and remove your site from resist.ca

Tell them what you think.

This boycott should continue until Resist ceases to support Thurston’s website and issues a statement apologizing for their support of a snitch.

Remember:

You don’t have to look like a cop to be a cop, and you don’t have to be a cop to do a cop’s work AND if you are doing a cop’s work then you are no longer a member of our community.
