Reporting from Washington, D.C.
We're not talking Paris, France
here, we are talking Paris
Hilton. The Washington Post
Express for June 28th, 2007, made
known that the heiress wants
"to help build a transitional home so
that when inmates leave here they
don't have to go back to the street".
This statement was made during
her stay in jail last week. But there
is already facilities of this sort, which
are called halfway houses. Such a
concept, however, will maintain the
government position in profiting off
of the judicial system. Unfortunately
to say, it has coerced Paris Hilton
into doing so with this idea. Paris,
on the other hand, will be better off
doing something more worthy. Like
starting a crusade to put public
pressure on D.C. Goverenment
workers and offcials. These
individuals are not maintaining
D.C. Public Libraries and the
University of the District of Columbia,
where these buildings have been
neglected for decades. There is alot
of help that is needed in Washington,
with no exception to racial
tension---and Ms. Hilton could make
a major difference.
