The US Military in Guantanamo Bay Prison has recently succeeded (again) in delivering another "false confession" this time from their purported "Mastermind" of the USS Cole attack in Yemen.

To make a long story short: The USS Cole made a very unusual and unscheduled stop in Yemen,where it had never visited before,and this visit was something that nobody knew about beforehand except the US Admiralty.The Captain of the USS Cole,later said he had gotten the order to dock in Yemen by way of a highly encoded electronic transmisson.

Now back to the "Mastermind Bomber" - he states:"I participated in the buying or purchasing of the explosives," bin Attash said when asked what his role was in the attacks. "I put together the plan for the operation a year and a half prior to the operation, buying the boat and recruiting the members that did the operation."

So the Big Question is how did this Waleed bin Attash plan the USS Cole attack "one and a half years" in advance when no-one exept the US Admiralty knew that the USS Cole was going to make an "unscheduled" port of call in Yemen on that date? (Its absolutely impossible,unless that is,the Pentagon was in on it!)

WASHINGTON - A Yemeni portrayed as an al-Qaida operative and a member of a terrorist family confessed to plotting the bombings of the USS Cole and two U.S. embassies in Africa, killing hundreds, according to a Pentagon transcript of a Guantanamo Bay hearing.

The transcript released Monday was the fourth from the hearings the military is holding in private for 14 "high-value" terror suspects who were kept in secret CIA prisons before they were sent to the U.S. facility in Cuba last fall.

Last week, Waleed bin Attash said he helped plan the 1998 embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania that killed more than 200, according to the transcript. He also said he helped organize the 2000 attack on the USS Cole in which suicide bombers steered an explosives-laden boat into the guided-missile destroyer, killing 17 sailors.

"I participated in the buying or purchasing of the explosives," bin Attash said when asked what his role was in the attacks. "I put together the plan for the operation a year and a half prior to the operation, buying the boat and recruiting the members that did the operation."

Also alleged to have been Osama bin Laden's bodyguard at one time, bin Attash is in his late 20s and is a Yemeni who was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, authorities have said. Said to be an al-Qaida operational chief, bin Attash is known as Tawfiq bin Attash or Tawfiq Attash Khallada or simply Khallad. He was captured in 2003.

Well, Duh- maybe the plan wasn't to attack the USS Cole on that day- maybe the plan was to attack a US ship the next time one was docked in Yemen. The paln is organized and rehearsed, and then all it takes is a simple phone call to put it into action.

The BBC also reported on the type of explosives used stating that: "the [Yemeni] president said samples of explosives taken from the destroyer had been identified by US investigators as of a type available only in Israel, the USA, and two Arab countries" (two Arab countries that get it from the US or Israel) .-

FYTI - The USS Cole "did not" make a routine stop in Yemen and had never docked in Yemen before! In fact the US Navy had years before,issued a probition,forbidding any US Naval vessels,from visiting or docking in Yemen.

The USS Cole was the first US naval vessel to dock in Yemen in years and its visit there was highly unusual and came about after the captain of the USS Cole received an electronic coded message from the Pentagon to do so,approximately 48 hours before it pulled into the Yemeni port.
