I'm curious about the turnout, see if anyone braved the heat . . . or hit the surf and left the Minute MenSOS to toast under the Aztlan Sun.

Leslie Radford was there taking notes. Duane Roberts was there, but I'm not sure if he was reporting. I got some pics and footage, but not a whole lot. I wasn't there to report. I was there to observe and show some support for the day labor workers.

I got footage of Jim Gilchrist yelling at me, asking me how many little boys and girls did I molest today, calling me Cliff the Commie or something, and calling me Benedict Arnold. Hopefully the camcorder picked up his voice. It may be another case like the footage of 1inchgroup where we may have to turn up the volume to hear his nonsense ranting.

For the record, I've never molested anyone in my life. Not that anyone was about to believe that coming from Jim Gilchrist of course. And now I'm not a "commie."

There was a LOT more Minuteman/SOS participants there today than I expected. Penny the Minutewomen managed to have her car collide with a bicyclist and make him fall down. Took a while before he got up. Expect the Minutemen/SOS to get totally reemed for this one, at least in the media. As a public safety issue, I'm sure the Minutemen/SOS will be monitored a LOT more if they try to protest at Laguna Beach again. Way to go Penny.

There was lots of chants from counter-demonstrators involving the word "Nazi(s)." I didn't take part in any such chants. I'm sure most of the MM/SOS participants don't have an actual Nazi/KKK mindset. But a lot do take the idea of being an American citizen to similar levels of attitude.

I held a sign that read "Independent support of day labor workers." Independent was a key word which I later underlined on the sign, meaning I'm not a member of any groups such as ANSWER or Green Party or any other.

I meant to stand aside from the main group to further show this. But for my health I need the shade by the day labor center. So I ended up interacting with some people and that's okay. I support the workers in what they're willing to do, that is work for pay. One of them held a Mexican flag and sometimes an American flag as well.

As far as accidents go, they happen. And that is the whole idea, to create a total scene in front of this wrongful use of taxpayer monies.

First of all, accidents happen and the idea is to use them to create a scene, including hitting bicyclists and hurting them with cars? I'm sure you didn't mean it like that, but I dunno, you can explain.

As for blocking the work, you guys did that for one freaking day. Whoop dee doo. There was even some on your side who came to the day labor side to photograph and stuff.

And Border Raven drove his truck into the day labor center drive thru. I have to say, he had guts for doing that. It was funny to see.

Joe was saying something about me mispelling "independent" but I spelled it like that, "independent." I thought I heard him say I should use some other word, or maybe he was trying to make me think I mispelled a word. I may have accidently used a wrong letter, like that's a big issue here. At least I didn't ram my car into a guy on a bike, knocking him down on the ground long enough for a ten count.

Preach, I remember hearing you say once when you guys were up in Glendale that it's wasn't your goal or the general goal of SOS to directly hurt day laborers.

Well, celebrating that the day labor center had no pickups and then saying that the day laborers are collateral damage is like celebrating that civilians are killed in a war. It's obviously not nearly as bad but it still makes you guys low human beings with an inability to see the big picture.

If the suggestion that the SOS/MM aren't neo-Nazis et al. is true, why are their ideologies so closely matched that they stand on street corners and sidewalks shoulder to shoulder?

It should be obvious that at core there's little to distinguish such gatherings from their ideologies. If SOS/MM wanted to pretend they're not neo-Nazi or ideologically in lock step, SOS/MM would need to explain why they have neo-Nazi members, supporters, followers, and all that happy nonsense.

"We didn't invite them" isn't a legitimate complaint. And it's even less legitimate when it's found that overt membership in acknowledged neo-Nazi groups of people are discovered and exposed.

Some day an SOS/MM follower needs to explain why he or she ignores what appears to be rampant neo-Nazi membership, support, following et al. -- hopefully while employing reason and honesty.

It _is_ interesting, though, isn't it? Mr. Gilchrist aspires to political office, for Xenu's sake, and yet he apparently has no qualms against being photographed and videotaped like this on street corners like... -- well, I refuse to enumerate what protesting against _people_ looks like. Protesting against a massive _wrong_ is a legitimate act. Protesting against _people_ is something I couldn't imagine ever doing.

What kind of a proto-politician does such a thing? If you've never seen the movie "Doctor Zhivago," watch it and you'll get some idea, in my opinion, of the mindset that looks to me motivates the behavior you observed.

And "Brokebutt Border?" Such intellecual acumen depicted in such rhetoric could only have sprung from the mind of a Republican. The mindset that would allow such a person to actually go out in public and be seen holding such a sign -- regardless of the simulated anal sexual behavior -- it seems to be speaks volumes about the people who oppose others who are only trying to work to feed themselves and their families.

What's just as enlightening is the fact that none of the person's ideological brothers felt the need to ask the individual to hide the sign and stop his related behavior. It speaks volumes about the mindset of the people he was with. When pickets are enacted for rightful causes, when anyone shows up with such inappropriate behavior, others politely ask for the inappropriate behavior to be stopped. This self correction doesn't appear to be a phenomena among those who wish to inflict _wrongs_ against people.

These SOS/MM/Aryan Nations/Storm Front et al. people exhibit much of the same behavior and motivations as anti-abortion extremist kooks, in my opinion, and the apparent glee that an innocent bystander was struck by an alleged white supremacist makes me think that suppressed violence among the racists is constantly on the ragged edge of exploding into violent acts against their intended victims.

I'm against illegal immigration as I've always said. But I'm against hatred and bigotry even more.

I was going to run a list, but wasn't sure how to arrange it. But yeah, exactly. I couldn't get any clear answers on why there was at least two Stormfront white nationalists in Gilchrist's campaign, plus I was kicked out for my efforts. So I decided to go public and if there's nothing wrong, they can explain and no problem. But they didn't and still won't.

I asked Gilchrist to publicly reject white supremacy on KFI. He didn't do it.

There are similar talking points and choice of words between the Minuteman groups and the KKK/National Alliance groups.

That documentary "The Line in the Sand" by October Sun Films may be another connection. It featured Chris Simcox and others, an Arizona Ranch Rescue guy with iron cross tatoos, and Alex Linder from Vanguard News.(I saw a guy who looked exactly like Linder at the Laguna Beach city council meeting. I waited til he spoke in one of the appeal things, it's some other guy. That was pretty startling. But still keeping practice in remembering faces.)

Gilchrist ran for Congress under the American Independent Party, the one started by George Wallace.

They constantly talk about the law, but also constantly talk about how the Mexican culture will have negative impacts on the US.

I started in July of last year, fresh and new before putting enough thought into it. Came across the Nazis in Laguna. Got mixed up with a friend who may have been borderline, but hopefully isn't anymore. Then the incident in the Gilchrist campaign and I got the F outta there. Now I wonder why everyone else is still at it, yelling at Mexican workers in Laguna Beach, being okay with a "Brokebutt Border" banner, exercising hate group symptoms in CCIR meetings, etc.
