LAPD's front man, Rocktard Delgadillo hasn’t had any good news lately. First, it was news of his fraudulent claims to a non-existent professional football career and then last week news that he committed perjury in 2001. It just got worse today.

Oakland, CA, June 1, 2006: Jeery Brown's hometown newspaper, Oakland Tribune, endorses Jerry and says Delgadillo's newest TV ad on "rise of crime" is yet another example of his established pattern of public deception and fraud. Delgadillo, endorsed and paid for by LAPD and prison guard unions, has not responded to the Tribune's statement that he has, again, engaged in deception and fraud against the public. (As if we would have expected an ethical and honest candidate for A.G. position from LAPD and prison guards’ union!).

OKALAND TRIBUNE, JUNE 1, 2006:

"Experience alone makes Brown the clear choice in this race. The two-time governor would bring an unmatched background to the job, having also served a term as secretary of state, a stint as the state's Democratic Party chairman and the last two terms as Oakland's mayor.

Once known as Governor Moonbeam, Brown has shown himself to be an adroit pragmatist who has evolved into Mayor Mainstream. More than his recent mayoral predecessors, Brown has Oakland on the rise, poised at last for an economic revitalization that many thought would never come.

If Delgadillo had his way and Oakland's current homicide rate were the only measure in this race, Brown could find himself on the defensive. But as he points out, even with the recent spike,
serious crimes have actually decreased 33 percent during his seven-year tenure from the previous seven years, while homicides are down 34 percent over the same period."
