As the White House Occupier angrily defended his unConstitutional decision to authorize spying on U.S. citizens, and the Creepy Veep shamelessly renewed his call for more executive powers to restrict civil liberties, it may be instructive to recognize such hardline desperado tactics may well represent the "last throes" of a dwindling number of NeoCon "deadenders!"

After bankrupting the economy in order to reward the top richest 1% with massive tax cuts, and launching an illegal War of Occupation on oil-rich Iraq(which in turn has morphed into the mother-of-all-botched-Imperialist-misadventures), the NeoCon cabal that orchestrated the original theft of the 2000 election is getting increasingly isolated--not only internationally but even from the traditional power brokers in the GOP. And even the so-called electoral 'mandate' that the Pretzel claimed after the 2004 rigged election has instead nosedived into a negative approval rating in all the latest polls. More ominously, some GOP reps & senators have actually defied the Crawford Coward in some recent Congressional measures such as the so-called McCain "anti-torture" bill(NOT!). From the viewpoint of the paranoid Cabal, such traitorous actions could be the beginning breach of the NeoCon 'Maginot Line.'

So what's a desperate Village Idiot to do? The only remaining course seems to be an audacious "great leap backward" to permanently impose absolute monarchical power(sort of a reverse Magna Carta in favor of executive privilege).

Seen in this light, we may actually be witnessing the increasing attacks on whatever remaining democratic institutions as the last throes" of a few NeoCon "deadenders." Stay tuned for more details in the coming months...
