We may as well tear down the "Statue of Liberty." Congress is getting ready to negate the lady's words: The words I want quoted begin with..."give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses..it brings tears to my eyes thinking about what I use to think my country stood for. Supposedly 11 million "illegals live in my country. Many are Mexican nationals. Of course California use to be Mexico along with Texas, and Arizona; 3 States where some Americans are most offended that Mexicans want to come here. The "illegals" live and work among us. Some people are unhappy they get to go to school with our kids, and need to have medical care and see doctors like we do. Nevertheless these "illegals" are also the people who take care of our kids;clean our homes, through hard work ensure that there is food in our grocery stores, garden our yards, and many others do other crucial work that our communities depend on. They and their offspring also realize other opportunities that allow them to have a better life than behind the borders created by my country by force and war. Of course ironically the majority of my country's citizens consist of immigrants or progeny of immigrants from other lands. The most ironic thing to me is that the "illegals" Americans most complain about are primarily the progeny of the indigenous people of the Americas or a mixture of the indigenous and those who "discovered" America.
