Estimates range from 300 to 500 protesters that took part in today’s march against police brutality in downtown Los Angeles. Many taking part in the march were past victims of police brutality and some have lost loved ones to police violence.
The march went without incident until it was blocked by police on Temple at Broadway due to a bomb scare at Parker Center. The suspected bomb turned out to be an empty box and was reportedly blasted with a police water cannon. The march was then allowed to continue. Shortly after proceeding there was a brief scuffle with police that resulted in the arrest of two women. The march continued on to a rally in front of Parker Center. Uploaded here is video showing the march and part of the incident where the arrests occurred.
