North American wouldn't now be in such dire straits regarding raging oil & gas prices if the American Govt. wasn't criminally complicit in helping the oil and automobile industries to "conspire" to financially "gouge" the public.This was done by the American Govt's abandonment of the rights and financial security of the American public and turning over those rights to the U.S. oil refining and automobile manufacturing businesses.For the American Govt. to continually approve of the manufacture and wide spread "brain-washing" advertising of dangerous SUV's and other gas-guzzling autos as oil & gas prices climber ever higher is a flagrant abandonnment of the American people and their needs and financial security.

The American Govt. deliberately fostered,nurtutred and encouraged the U.S.automotive manufacturers to produce these obscene,gas-guzzling and polluting vehicles like SUV's.By doing this the US Govt. was knowingly aiding&abeting U.S.oil & gas suppliers who got to sell much more gasoline at increasingly higher prices because of all the gas-guzzling monster vehicles behemouths being turned out by the US Govt approved automobile biz..If this is not a "conspiracy" by the US Govt. and the oil and automotive businesses to monopolize,manipulate and defraud the North American public then there is no such thing as monopolies,manipulations and fraud!

As reported on PBS's Frontline,(Feb.,2002) the scandal of complicity in SUV "rollovers" involves both the auto manufacturers like Ford and G.M. but also the American Govt. including Ronald Regan's Administration ,and in particular the NHTSA (National Highway,Traffic Safety Assoc.) This "criminal collusion" between the auto manufacturers and NHTSA regarding Sports Utility Vehicles goes back to the 1980's.Government and auto manufacturers "criminally conspired" to bypass safety regulations and purposely ignored safety studies,recklessly endangering,crippling and destroying lives, all in in the name of profit!

This amounts to a criminal conspiracy and gross criminal negligence among these groups .The American Govt. including NHTSA and the auto manufacturers should be sued by the SUV rollover "victims" in class action lawsuits.Also other purchasers of these deadly SUV's whose lives and whose families lives were put in jeopardy by the "criminal" collusion of government and auto manufacturers should also join the class actrion lawsuits. Further both the auto manufacturers and the American Govt. including the NHTSA should be criminally "charged" at both the State and Federal levels,for collusion;bribery;criminal negligence causing death and for "racketeering" under the Rico Act etc.! The evidence is both appaling and abundant! If the guilty parties aren't brought to justice then American is really no better than some third world dictatorship.

The argument that Americans "choose" big suv's is that they don't want to drive small,dinkly little European style cars! But then why do Americans need SUV's with heavy-duty 4-wheel drive - when the majority never use that expensive option? Why are Americans driving around SUV's that carry hundreds of extra pounds of heavy-duty suspension;transmission and gearing for a 4-wheel drive system they never use? Its like if you took your regular passenger car and put 300-400 pounds of sand in the trunk just to lug around.It all comes down to gullibility and deceptive marketing.The major SUV manufacturers have foisted these vehicles on a public that really has no need for all the expensive,heavy-duty 4-wheel drive equiptment.All it does is make the SUV's more expensive,heavier and harder on gas without giving the average consumer any real value for their money,especially considering that don't need and won't use the 4-wheel drive option.So the argument that Americans "choose" SUV's because they want bigger cars doesn't stand.You can still have a big vehicle without dragging around a heavy load of useless 4-wheel drive equiptment.
