should not have fired on Peña, whom she said had been despondent over business troubles. "My child was innocent," Lopez said. "I told police in English to let me go inside and get her, and they wouldn't let me."

to come to her to offer an explanation, but added that even if they did, she would no longer accept it. "The people know the way it is," Lopez said. "And (the police) are just going to come out clean."

Peña had to go. I walk in that room and for me to look up at that ceiling and look at all 4 walls in a 4 x 6 room and to see all the bullet holes that came through that room there was no way that they expected anyone to walk out of that room alive, including that baby.

To the Community of Watts and South Central:
It is beautiful to see the unity of black and brown peoples who experience the same repression and murder by the hands of the police. You are an inspiration to all of us. Thank you for being strong and you shall overcome.

I've not been paying close attention to this story so I honestly don't understand. I know that the cops shot and killed a little baby while the cops were trying to kill her father -- who was a criminal apparently holding the baby hostage, correct?

is this the post about protesting insane asshole fathers that use their infant children as human shields? Why no outrage over that? Why no understanding that when fired upon, cops fire back? Are you blinded by your hatred of cops, and whites in general. Protesting this wont make things any better in you communities, because it's not the cops fault that things are like this. It's the citizens of the community that are failures.
People in this country are so damn sick of blacks whinng and crying about things that are their own fault. And when I say people, I mean EVERYONE that isn't black.
Just shut up and take care of your illegetimate kids, and quit whining about some asshole getting shot because he used HIS INFANT DAUGHTER as a human shield.
What where the cops supposed to do? Let him kill them all? Let him get away? If they'd done that, you'd be protesting saying "da raciss po-leese don' care 'bout us blacks"
sorry, pathetic bunch you are.
