INTERNATIONAL DAY OF ACTION ON THE ROOT CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE, 8th JULY 2005

The G8 embodies the dominant 'consume now, worry later' system. This suicidal

set-up is creating climate chaos and social injustice across the globe. G8

leaders claim to be taking on climate change, but their business-as-usual

approach and hollow promises aren't delivering. It's up to us to act.

It is our diversity that is our strength. From banners to blockades, Aberdeen to

Aberystwyth to your home town, let's reclaim the agenda. Don't wait for someone else to organize an event. Take action in solidarity with the

millions of people around the world already affected by climate chaos.

It's time for climate action. How about some action in the Belly of the Beast??

The U.S. is the number One climate killer!

*************

The only U.S. action scheduled so far is in Appalachia, see:

There's a West Coast anti-capitalist converge against the G8 occuring in San Francisco July 6-8. Plus, there's a midwest anti-capitalist convergence at the same time in Kansas City, Missouri. Check out: anarchistaction.org/kansascity
