*Please forward widely*
PETA is asking activists to speak up for rabbits by protesting the sale of fur at Wet Seal. PETA is staging two demonstrations in the L.A. area this week, and we’d love for you to join us. It is extremely important that there are lots of people at these demos, as they will be in Wet Seal's hometown. Please take one or two hours of your time to help speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Hundreds of millions of rabbits slaughtered for their fur and their flesh every year spend their entire lives confined to tiny metal cages, surrounded by their own waste. The methods of slaughter are no more humane—rabbits are killed by having their necks broken or their skulls beaten before they are strung up by the legs to have their heads cut off.
Here are the details for each of the demonstrations:
Thursday, March 17
12:00-1:00PM
Wet Seal’s corporate headquarters, 26972 Burbank, Foothill Ranch, CA.
Friday, March 18
12:00-1:00PM
Santa Monica Place, at Broadway and the 3rd St. Promenade, Santa Monica, CA.
We will provide leaflets and posters—so there’s no need to bring anything at all. We will also have a giant rabbit costume at these protests, so please e-mail PETA2@peta.org if you would be interested in wearing it.
