Howard Zinn on C-span mp3

by ben frank Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 at 8:52 AM

howard zinn was recently on c-span, he very well spoken- so good that i had to make an mp3 of it

/uploads/2005/01/zinn-cspan1-patriot.mp3

actually, this is the first of several mp3 from zinn's c-span appearance.

it just nice to hear someone speaking the truth on national tv, and this could prove useful for people talking to republican counterparts that just don't get it.

can't hear the conversation!

by beez wax Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 at 1:40 PM

hi,

the final frontier music overlay is nice and all, but it is drowning out the conversation, big time.

can't hear the talk.

music not necessary...

by xispa Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 at 8:33 PM

it drown's out Zinn's voice. Can you post again minus the sound in the background?

sounds good to me

by why not Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 at 8:51 PM

i can hear the conversation fine

why don't you just delete the file if you don't like it, rather than come here and try to convince others not to listen to it?

hold on.......

....stuff like this

", rather than come here and try to convince others not to listen to it?"

is pretty typical ...

No one in the posts prior to my post here said anything that can be construed as an attempt to steer other people not to download and listen. The words are audible, but the music is indeed too loud and therefore distracting. Setting spoken word to music is a great art, and there's nothing wrong with pointing out how it could be improved (and the person/folks at BenFrank put out nice audio so I would venture to guess that person/group wouldn't be so thin skinned as yourself when people point out that a specific file isn't as good as it could be).

Chill out.. Responses of the anachist creed of "if you don't like it, don't _________" is silly herein.
