Internet free blog tool, LiveJournal, goes down after server host Internap loses power.

Popular web blogging community, LiveJournal suffered a massive shut-down early yesterday when a massive power failure from their data center provider, Internap, caused their 100+ servers to completely go offline. "Our data center (Internap, the same one we've been at for many years) lost all its power, including redundant backup power, for some unknown reason."(As quoted from the LiveJournal site.)

LiveJournal, host to millions of users, blogs and communities has been forced to cope with the loss of massive hits, bandwidth, and money from its paying subscribers. The free online blogging tool posted updates on its website of its slow recovery from the power failure, and hopes to have its services fully operational by the end of the coming week.

LiveJournal hopes to recover all information from backups just before the initial outtage. So, to all thirteen year old love crisises out there that need to communicate to the world their hurts and sorrows, you'll all just have to wait until the site regains its bearings.
