The latest browsers have added a new feature called RSS headlines that will allow you to read headlines from IMC newswires, without visiting the site.
Presently, the best support is from the Firefox browser released by the Mozilla Project. It will come out for IE in the future.
To put the headlines on your browser, follow the steps depicted above.
First, (1) click on Syndication. That's a page with links to each of the sites's RSS feeds. Down at the bottom is the link for "production"'s RSS. That's the front page headlines.
There are RSS feeds for features and the newswire. Use the newswire.
RIght click on the blue link to the RSS, and select "Copy Link to Clipboard".
Second, (2) click on your browser's Bookmarks menu, and select Manage Bookmarks. From the Manager's window, select File-->Add Live Bookmark...
Then, fill out the box with the Title. Then right-click and Copy the link from the clipboard to the URL or Link field.
Click Save (or OK).
The bookmark should show up at the bottom of the Manger window. Drag it up into the Toolbar folder. It should then appear on your toolbar.
To check your work, click on the Live Bookmark icon in your toolbar. Voila.
