VOLUNTEER AT ARLINGTON WEST MEMORIAL

WHEN: Every Sunday until Troops Come Home, Santa Monica Pier

8:00-9:30am and 6:30-7:30pm

Veterans for Peace need help to put up and take down over 1000 crosses--1 cross for every American soldier killed in Iraq -- at the Santa Monica Pier every Sunday. The enormous Iraqi casualties are also noted, with a sign saying that crosses for them would cover the entire beach.

The Memorial has recently run out of space for crosses for the American soldiers and they have started putting up one red cross to stand for 10 deaths.
