Most participants of the television "news" medium are liberal (while claiming to be unbiased) and detest people of moral influence, particularly Christians.
Liberal politicians and their helpers in the celebrity and media circle cannot support their agenda by reporting the unbiased truth, so they often avoid reporting the full truth.
For instance, they don't want you to know that the results of the post-election Florida ballot recounts, conducted by major media groups, concluded that our
President did, indeed, win Florida; They don't want to report to you that France, Russia and Germany, the major opposing nations of the war in Iraq, had major oil contracts with Iraq before the war; And the media enjoyed reporting the 9-11 Commission's statement that no direct link was found between Iraq and the 9-11 attacks (which The White House never claimed), but the media did not highlight the Commission's finding of the general relationship between Al Qaeda and Iraq.
They are self-described liberals, but not likely to be real liberals. They're mostly middle class white people, and the ones in the bigger markets are making more than average.
If you put some real working class people on, ones from diverse racial backgrounds, you'd get a whole different kind of news. If LA news looked and sounded like the majority of the population, it'd sound positively "left wing" not just liberal.
When channel 13 got somewhat liberal with their news, it was to aim for the underserved working class lower income demographic. They were going after the average Joe... and the average Joe in LA is probably a nonwhite or ethnic white Democrat who works at a job that pays around 30k a year.
It's not the typical KPFK listener. It's closer to Air America. It's really close to that ieAmerica radio thing from the midwest. It's really close to Spanish TV news.
The people in the news media are mostly white, almost all college educated, self-described liberals, twice a year christians. But, I'd hazard that they're overall pretty conservative about money. And, i'd say, get their asses out of those seats. Let's get some real working class kids in there.
And let's get rid of the bimbo/himbo news that's being served up. That stuff is stupid.
