That lady looks like a brainwashing victim who believes that the most important things in life are reading People Magazine and Ladies Home Journal, watching Friends on television, catching a man who makes enough money to buy her a house in suburbia, that the Bible gives an accurate account of the creation of the world, that Bush is a brilliant leader, that "we" are fighting for "freedom" in Iraq, that Laura Bush, Barbara Bush and Nancy Reagan are good role models for women, and that Bush and Ashcroft have a legal right to lock up people on the grounds that they have dangerous ideas, and that all Americans have a God-given right to ride around in motor vehicles, even though this is destroying the earth and leading to endless wars and massacres. She undoubtedly was not born stupid, but her brain has atrophied from underuse. Not a very good representative of what you think is the master race.

What the hell does "Love Your Race" mean anyway? Race is a social construct that's unstable. Whiteness, in particular, was created, to some extent, by defining laws to define who was white and who was not white.

Back in the early history of this country, the descendents of the English were the main white people. Others were here, but they were ethnic: Norwegians, Finns, French, Italians, Germans, Irish, etc. They had bilingual schools and ethnic neighborhoods.

Whiteness was constructed to unify this disparate population, who, in Europe, were having wars with each other. Whiteness, coalesced, largely because laws gave whites many rights that didn't exist for nonwhites.

Things like property ownership, marriage, voting, education, and slavery were legislated by race. Many more other things, like membership into clubs, the freedom to walk unmolested, the freedom to not suffer domestic terrorism, equal access to law enforcement and justice, etc. were de-facto substandard for non-whites.

Assuming that Civil Rights was basically the law of the land in 1965 (which is not completey accurate), America has been anti-racist fo 39 years of its 228 years. 17% of its history is anti-racist, and 83% of its history is racist. This is the "best case" description, and doesn't include the years before 1776.

In short, we've only taken a few small steps away from white supremecist thinking. There's a good 100 years of work ahead for anti-racists.
