This angelic creature has replaced Ann Coulter as the woman who obsesses me night and day. The way that Anna obsessed Vronsky in the novel Anna Karenina or Grace Melbury obsessed Giles Winterbourne in The Woodlanders.

Thw Woodlanders was written by Thomas Hardy, a second rater who is, of course, not up to the standards of today's giants, such as Tom Clancy.

Torture? It was fun while it lasted. These sandniggers are POWs and lucky to even be alive. Fucking faggots want to take up arms against the US? We'll turn their shit to ashes. Fucking raghead camelfuckers. Be glad it was only a broomstick and not a rusty hatchet, habib.

By the way, do you think that those techniques should be used on Bush and Sharon when they are on trial before international tribunes for crimes against humanity?

Unfortunately, ML, some people believe that such "crimes" are a function of who commits them. If the Good Guys commit atrocities, they are fighting for democracy. If the bad guys do it, they are agents of terror. It doesn't matter if both parties are technically causing the same kind of terror. What matters is not what powerful institutions DO ("methods define morality?" pshaw!), but whether they control social consensus so that everyone agress that they are the Good Guys. Thus, morality in policy is judged according to who controls the mass media.

Bush Admirer:
This particular fallacy is a common one. I call it "the better bad guy gets to be called the good guy." It is an old trick used to justify actions that fall too far from center on the bell curve of society's beliefs about right and wrong. It goes something like this: "You think this guy is bad? You should see the other guy!" If effective, it distracts people from just about any indiscretion.
For example, I could say "Saddam was an alright dictator. Just look at all the stuff that Pinochet did--and he was backed by the U.S.! Oh… were you talking about Pinochet? I thought so."
I liked some things that Clinton did for this country, and disliked others... but wait, were we talking about Clinton? I suppose that we are now. Nice trick.

I suppose that I have been stopping by here a lot. Mainly, I've been overcompensating for the vastly disproportionate number of comment posts from conservative saboteurs. For some reason, they are hell-bent on infesting this forum with one or two-line posts that goad people with sheer ignorance. If you defend Iraqis' rights, it's "Sand nigger animals" this, "They should kiss America's feet" that. If you bring up WMDs, you get a volley of "Bush is a fucking hero but I can't give any examples of why except going to war, which doesn't make him all that special as US presidents go."
Anyway, I'm having fun. I especially like asking people questions they can't answer. PS: if anyone knows the preferred handle of the termite who keeps harassing me, drop a line.

"Or it could be everyone. my best bet is frecsa."
I assume you mean me although you've mispelled my moniker.
However, I haven't harrassed Lucius at all. Well not intentionally that is. I suppose some of my views may annoy him.
The fact is that even though we seem to disagree, I respect him. He doesn't seem to be a member of the Jew hatin', Chemtrail fearin', tinfoil hat brigade.
But I am curious Lucius. What is this harrassment you speak of?

I am curious Lucius. What is this harassment you speak of?
OK, you asked for it. For a few days' worth of posts, there has been a pretty extensive mole-smearing campaign directed against me.
For a bit of back-history, someone calling themselves IMC (probably the same culprit) said this recently: ____ >We harass "progressive" websites because it gets exactly the type of reaction you gave. I'm glad you're angry.
I found it telling, and I suspected that a baiter named "Cracked Up" was the same person. I confronted them on this cowardly method of feeling good about oneself, and here is what I got back:
>You will continue to deal with me as long as I say you must. Because I am the boss, and you are my dancing monkey. I will continue to type a few lines under this moniker, or under the next, and you will continue to harangue away… Dance monkey. Dance! Dance! ____ Next, I got a series of posts accusing me of being a mole. The handle changed each time. The line the I wrote which gave them a wedge for this smear was: "Bias is universal. And though the media is not solely "liberal," there are liberal elements that put just as much of a spin on news as their conservative counterparts."
Note that I wasn't claiming that all liberal news has a spin, or that conservative news is unbiased, but that self-proclaimed libs are prone to bias too. Some people treat allegiance like a talisman that will either ward off all ignorance, or invite evil, depending on what label you choose to identify with. I'm more of a postmodernist about it.
The response that came back:
>ha ha >mole confirmed. Cover blown. >Please try again. _____ And next in the sequence:
>I'm on to you, my fine little friend. >You may continue to build your cover however, you over-rate yourself ____ Next, regarding the porn shots which were passed off as press photos, I posted that "Yes, we already established that liberals were duped. The anti-liberal cheerleading squad can throw an online party for all I care, but I think you missed the point that there are REAL photos, which are equally abhorrent…" (did anyone catch the sarcasm?)
Torakov quoted the first sentence of the statement and responded:
>did you type this? >Please tell me more. >I'm all ears... ____ Next:
from Torakov: >divide and conquer >Very good. >Now read the chapter on infiltration. Again. >from my own notes: >-make absolutely certain that your rhetoric is consistent with the ideals espoused by the target. A false note plays loud. When in doubt, STFU and listen. G2 is never over rated and every hour spent in study pays off- _______ Torakov: >Who ever started this post did it from a porn site image capture. >then we had some 'ladys' with e mail addresses... >and we have lucius & fresca mixing it up. >sound fimiliar?
____ Finally, I posted: "If I didn't know better, I'd say that someone was fucking with me... Could be the "dance, monkey, dance" reptile from a week ago…"
I got back an affirmative this time:
>I give you this. >I have had fun getting the monkey to dance. Thank you. >was good for you too?
The whole thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. People who call these games "satisfaction" are relentless; they have fed the inner reptile one too many times, and now it is always hungry.

This is what you said you said. "Bias is universal. And though the media is not solely "liberal," there are liberal elements that put just as much of a spin on news as their conservative counterparts." But this is what you really said. “Yes, we already established that liberals were duped. The anti-liberal cheerleading squad can throw an online party for all I care, but I think you missed the point that there are REAL photos, which are equally abhorrent. “ http://la.indymedia.org/news/?author=lucius&comments=yes&limit=10 You can't even lie well.

If it's not fresca and or Barney, it could be Texas Walker or Bush Admirer. Nasty one, that. Let's get him.
