This teach-in takes a closer look at the symptoms of racism to an understanding of what it is, where it comes from, how it functions, why it persists and how it can be undone. Chris Crass a published writer and speaker, will take a look at white Supremacy, White Privilege and Roles of White People in the Fight against Racism. Together we hope to a look at our society and learn how we can be more effective on the journey towards eliminating racism. Our speaker Chris Crass is a social justice organizer with the Challenging White Supremacy Workshops in San Francisco. He has led anti-racism workshops for white people with community and student groups around the country. He graduate from San Francisco State Univerity with a degree in Race, Class, Gender and Power Studies. His writings about the global justice movement, anti-racist and feminist organizing have been widely published in over 100 publications and translated into 6 languages.

Dear potential victims,

The only ones enriched by this circus will be those that secured money from the kollij to pay for it. "Free" just means someone else is paying, in this case, probably your school.

"Chris Crass" isn't going to help you pursue personal excellence or help you integrate into a society with his belly-achin' about stuff that happened centuries ago.

Allow me to save you the time you'd waste at this rally with some truths:

* Life is hard no matter what color you are. There are plenty of poor whites to attest there is no 'secret club' whereby they are granted special favors.

* Nobody is going to hand you anything without expecting something in return. Even if you accept gummint "handouts" you're really selling your independence.

* Other races (i.e. Asians) aren't wasting time bemoaning the past or crying about faults in the system. They're in libraries, STUDYING. Which is what YOU should be doing if you plan to get both the degree and the job you want. If you want the POWER to change the system you need to start with securing your own PERSONAL power.

That's all. The choice is yours: celebrate victimhood and end up a chump (while "Crass" schleps to the next gullible town with a carpetbag full of YOUR school's funds) or ignore this poser for the downtrodden and GET HOT on those books!
