Fanatic Muslim Terrorists Srike Again

by MAAMOUN YOUSSEF Friday, Mar. 12, 2004 at 10:13 PM

The Arabic newspaper Al-Quds al-Arabi said Thursday it had received a claim of responsibility for the Madrid train bombings issued in the name of al-Qaida.

CAIRO, Egypt - (AP) March 11, 2004

The five-page e-mail claim, signed by the shadowy Brigade of Abu Hafs al-Masri, was received at the paper's London offices. It said the brigade's "death squad" had penetrated "one of the pillars of the crusade alliance, Spain," and carried out what it called Operation Death Trains.

"This is part of settling old accounts with Spain, the crusader, and America's ally in its war against Islam," the claim said.

Referring to Spain's Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar, the statement asked: "Aznar, where is America? Who will protect you, Britain, Japan, Italy and others from us?"

The newspaper faxed the claim to The Associated Press office in Cairo.

The statement warned the United States that a major strike is approaching.

"We announce the good news for the Muslims in the world that the strike of the black wind of death, the expected strike against America, is now at its final stage — 90 percent ready — and it is coming soon, by God's will," the claim said.

Asked about the claim of responsibility, White House spokesman Sean McCormack said "we've seen the news reports and we're going to determine what the facts are."

The message also referred to last year's attack on Italian paramilitary police serving in the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq (news - web sites).

"When we attacked the Italian troops in Nasiriyah and sent you and America's agents an ultimatum to withdraw from the anti-Islam alliance, you did not understand the the message. Now we have made it clear and hope that this time you will understand," the statement said.

"We, at the Abu Hafs brigades, have not felt sad for the so-called civilians," the statement in an apparent reference to the hundreds of casualties in Thursday's attacks in Madrid.

"Is it OK for you to kill our children, women, old people and youth in Afghanistan (news - web sites), Iraq, Palestine and Kashmir (news - web sites)? And is it forbidden to us to kill yours?" the claim asked.

The statement said another al-Qaida squad, Jund al-Quds or Soldiers of Jerusalem, had carried out Tuesday night's attack on a Masonic lodge in Istanbul, Turkey.

"All the Masons would have been killed but there was a technical fault. So because God wished it, only three were killed," the statement said.

In the attack, two suicide bombers opened fire in the lodge's dining hall, killing a waiter and wounding five other people. The attackers then detonated rudimentary explosives. One assailant died in the blast while the other was severely wounded.

Anyone can make such claims.

I think it's too early to know who was behind the attacks. There is no formal contact for al-Qaeda. Therefore any such claims should be viewed with suspicion.

Read the article doofus

by BushAddmirer Friday, Mar. 12, 2004 at 10:24 PM

For God sakes doofus, read the article. It's pure Al Queda all the way.

This reads right out of bin Laden's play book:

"This is part of settling old accounts with Spain, the crusader, and America's ally in its war against Islam."

The only way to deal with such lunatics is by choosing strong leaders like Tony Blair, Ariel Sharon, and George W. Bush. Then you must put men like Donald Rumsfeld in charge. And then you must turn the military and Intelligence services loose with instructions to bring them back dead or alive, preferably dead.

If they to make good on this threat they will be guaranteeing GWB's reelection without a doubt:

"We announce the good news for the Muslims in the world that the strike of the black wind of death, the expected strike against America, is now at its final stage — 90 percent ready — and it is coming soon, by God's will."

All John Kerry knows how to do is marry up. We don't need some limp-wrist Vietnam protester leading us into a fight with the likes of Al Queda

You're stupid, Bush Admirer

by @ Friday, Mar. 12, 2004 at 10:32 PM

It hasn't even been established that al-Qaeda was behind 9/11. What al-Qaeda really is has not been established either. I could believe that whoever was behind 9/11 was behind the latest bombing in Spain, but I am not convinced that al-Qaeda exists in the form (or of the nature) claimed by Bush-holes like you.

al-Qaeda has all the marks of a CIA operation, including a former CIA operative at its head.

using a few kew words

CIA+FBI+Al+Qaeda

oh, Google seems okay but Alta Vista is there too...

and since the intelligence services have purchased the front end of the search and have filled it with there garbage ( repeated same authors with the same quotes), we go to about 50+ and begin looking for serious non pentagon financed operations with a minimum of Project MOCKINGBIRD shills posing as journelists..

"When people across the US find out that Al Qaeda is not linked to Saddam but is in fact a creation of the CIA and that the terrorist warnings are fabricated, the legitimacy of the Bush Administration will tumble like a deck of cards. "

The Moronic Comedy that is the Left

by Walker, Texas Plumber Saturday, Mar. 13, 2004 at 11:21 AM

It simply amazes me how every third Birkenstock-wearing doofus from Berkekey is suddenly an expert on the CIA, its personnel, its methods, its training and history. Plus, of course, a complete understanding of problems in the Middle East.

But strangely, no one on the left even knew what Al-Qaeda was until 9-11 (an attack they pretend never happened).

They also can't predict the crafty CIA's next evil move, even though every armchair liberal kollij professor knows exactly who is employing whom in the shady terrorist network.

The liberal paradox: "It's a conspiracy, but when there's NO proof, this shows how masterful the conspirators are!"

"EACH ACCORDING TO HIS NEED." IF THAT BE THE CASE, YOU ALL NEED TO WAKE UP, TURN OFF THE DAVE MATTHEWS CD AND READ SOMETHING OTHER THAN CHOMSKY'S LATEST 'FANTASTIC TALES.'

HA HA HA. THE EYES OF THE RANGER ARE UPON YOU.

walking on my hands...

then we could narrow the search down a bit more
