One thing about Haiti

by Duvalier Wednesday, Mar. 03, 2004 at 2:57 PM

WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT HAITI!! Let them kill each other. What in the world do you think they have that the US should waste a gallon of gas arranging a coup?

cause BabyDoc

by Greedy Sweatshop Owner Wednesday, Mar. 03, 2004 at 5:40 PM

prison labor is nice, but these folks are real hungry after the sanctions

and will literally work for peanuts.

Besides, can't stand the idea of free people.

Work doing what?

by Big D Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 12:06 AM

What do they have that we want? What am I going to have to listen to next, "No blood for sugar?" No blood for voodoo? What?

you are stupid Big Dumb

by Greedy Sweat Shop Owner Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 12:10 AM

why we can have them make sneakers, baseballs or even your underware. Idiot.

That your best shot?

by D Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 2:29 AM

Okay, asshat, no blood for sneakers, no blood for your underwear. Still, too much work for too little gain. After 900 coups, why the hell should we care? You think Nike can send in the Marines? No, I take it back, you probably do. Or maybe Nike is a new subdivision of Halliburton. Jackass.

So then you're against the invasion?

by Anti-Crusade Crusader Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 3:18 AM

Those arguing that Haiti is not significant enough to warrant U.S. intervention have not explained why the intervention has in fact occurred. There is no question that the invasion has occurred, so what is the nonsense about Haiti not being a significant enough target? If you truly believe that, then shouldn't you be telling that to George Bush and to the French government, since they are the ones who have (foolishly, in your opinion) invaded Haiti?

Or, is this just an attempt to heap insult upon an already-injured people? Sort of like a rapist who counters a woman's charges of rape with the claim that she is too unattractive to become the target of sexual abuse.

All in all, your comments are too consistently vile to be sincere. I don't believe that any human being could sincerely hold the views that you claim to here. Your messages are intended as a provocation, period.

So why don't you tell me

by GSSO Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 3:36 AM

why the DIA trained, ex death squads were in the country?

You seem to be interested.

Maybe you know more about it than I.

I do know that the US hates democracy in this hemisphere.

Otherwise we wouldn't hane occupied the country or had its leader kidnaped at gun point.

The Usual Suspects

by GD Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 3:48 AM

When you look at who is attacking the USA on the Haiti matter it's the usual anti-American suspects (losers all).

Dennis Bernstein, Amy Goodman, Maxine Waters, Charlie Wrangle, jesse Jackson, etc. These are all left wing douche bags who've been out to lunch forever. The term "zero credibiility" fits them perfectly no matter what the topic. They have no standing and they deserve no attention. They are losers.

That's a page with an overview of Hatian history.

ACC and GSSO

by D Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 2:29 PM

Okay, fellas, let's go over it again.

Haiti, as such, isn't worth the bones of one healthy Pomeranian grenadier, as the saying goes. Having said that, what is the US's interest in intervening at the 11th hour? Perhaps the prospect of thousands dead, a burning city, and Aristide hanging from a light pole just didn't sit well with our government, so he was asked to get the hell out. Ingrateful bastard, then he calls (if he's a prisoner, how is he calling?) not CNN, but Maxine Waters! What, Jesse's phone was busy? Does that make sense to you?

Sweaty, your nonsense about the US not wanting a democracy in this hemisphere is laughable, but befitting your Indymedia status.

Crusader, sorry you think my views are vile, but they're the ones that make sense to me.

Have a swell day.

so now you will kill yourself?

by Greaat idea, D Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 3:12 PM

I approve.

In your next turn on the wheel you could be less of a dick.

Where did THAT come from?

by Mr. D to you Thursday, Mar. 04, 2004 at 9:24 PM

I've heard of reading between the lines, but that one is a stretch even for an idiot lefty like you. Sorry to disappoint, but I'll be around. And now that he's not in Haiti anymore, longer than Aristide.

Don't flatter yourself.

The real deal on Haiti

by Ralph Friday, Mar. 05, 2004 at 12:10 AM

1. The CIA didn't kidnap Aristide. He doesn't rise to that level of importance.

2. The USA didn't plot Aristide's overthrow either. He did that all by himself.

3. What the USA did do is help him to escape the lynching his own citizens had in mind for him.

4. Q. What's the Bush government's objective right now in Haiti?

A. Take whatever actions required to minimize the migration of uneducated welfare type immigrants from Haiti to Florida. Avoid having a horde of unemployable, non-English speaking, uneducated, Haitians from descending upon us.

thank you for the state dept. BS.

But we get get enough of it without you. Like a leaden fart upon the stage does your wisdom sing.
