Questioning a War Time President

by mymicz1 Friday, Feb. 20, 2004 at 10:20 PM

The Lyndon Johnson factor.....

When Lyndon Johnson resigned, it was a damn miracle. Pressure for a failed war finally took down a big wig. Oftentimes you hear the phrase, "you can't question a war time president."

Oh Yeah?!

The HBO series, Iron Jawed Angels, repeats that very line. Yet in the series, the Suffragettes win.

And that is the point of my mini statement of the day.

George Bush was given a green light for Iraq. Not an official green light mind you. It was a reserved call that specifically relied on his representation and interpretation of the evidence and the necessity for war.

Can you say, "enough rope?"

Democrats aren't dumb. They don't have blind religious stupidity. They are generally rational. And they make great imperialists because no one suspects what they do behind closed doors unless there's a whore in there.

Bush has been set up. Frankly, so has Ariel Sharon. With atrocities mounting and no peace on the horizon, these two strong incumbents suddenly look very lame and very dead ducky.

You think the dems like Kerry and Edwards didn't know this when they signed off on this war?

200 plus years of American experience should show that when the guns come out, the man at the top will definately take the biggest bullet.

I've already shown the example of Johnson. How about Nixon? He even ended a war he hadn't started, just not soon enough.

Bush Sr? Well, not gonna do it, you know the tale.

Look back and see, the public likes to hang a man if he hangs enough of thier sons.

Hopefully, Bush will fall down on his face like Johnson, and we won't see his Hydra head for a few more years.
