A few things have changed on this site. Most are minor.

The left-column navigation has changed, and now, the news categories (front pages) are separate from links that do other things.

Latest Comments is not quite back, but the Commentary link will show the latest comments. The LC feature was/is a hack, and didn't easily allow for us to put a small delay into its updating. (We wanted to add a delay to discourage flamewars.) This may or may not be changed.

"Features" are now called "Categories" and the terminoligy is used more consistently.

Categories for "Media" and "Social Programs" were added. The latter because it's a gap in our categories, and the latter because the Governor is cutting social programs. Also, there are mutual aid social programs that can be highlighted there.

Links to weblogs of some newswire posters has been added. This is intended to reciprocate with webloggers who link to IMC and who post information to the IMC, and who support the IMC mission. Simply posting anything to the Newswire won't qualify anyone to get on that list.

The Syndication features weren't working right, and our headlines were not being sent up to the global site for a while. This has been fixed.

Title case has been applied to more areas of the site. Though "all lowercase titles" are cool, and "ALL UPPER" works for short titles, "Standard Title Case" is comfortable and familiar. It stands out, but not too much.

The layout of the Calendar has been modified so it's a little cleaner. The functionality is the same, but it's easier to spot the "Add and Event" link.

The Themes pages has been restored. You can now try out all eight of the sf-active themes. The banner for the Chicago layout is interesting. The banner for the traditional layout is the old banner from the previous site.

Added a feature to the front page that shows headlines from within the site. I'm still trying to get global IMC headlines, but it doesn't seem to work quite right. It would be nice to get the top four headlines.
