The 2004 Election Dog And Pony Show, Your Vote Means Nothing
The United States Is An Executive Dictatorship. Presidential Executive Orders are dictatorial powers provided to the President of the United States. PEO's bypass the constitutional requirements to pass laws through congressional approval. This makes PEO's unconstitutional. Executive orders are simply filed in the Federal Register by the President and after 30 days they become law just as though they had been passed by congress.
The Constituion was suspended on March 9th 1933, when President Franklin D. Roosecelt declared a state of national emergency and was granted a broad range of executive powers by congress to deal with the Great Depression under the War Powers Act of 1917. No president since then has ordered a proclamation ending the the national emergency. It still exists and the Constiution remains suspended, when national emergencies or wars are declared, allowing presidential executive powers to go unchecked. This also means that the president can declare a national emergency and order martial law at anytime! We lose All our Rights!
(for presidential orders...see http://www.archives.gov/federal_register/executive_orders/disposition_tables.html#top)

I must say, the latest addition to the LA-IMC anti-open publishing censorship code is quite interesting. Looks like it takes seven lines of text to avoid getting rejected for being too short. Well, I guess I'll just clip on a little extra at the end from now on...

No funnier than the last toon, but what the hey. Nobody said leftists have a sense of humor, right? Keep posting it for the next two months until Tom Tomorrow puts out the next one...

I'm sure this technicality will be exploited by every single politician who comes down the pike. Darn that FDR. If we revoke this privilege, then all will be right. The clouds of oppression will part, and the light of truth and justice will shine through, once this power is rescinded! Until then, don't sleep so easy.

It's amazing how loonies like FPI are convinced America is the most evil dictatorship on the planet, when there are numerous examples in the real world vying for the title.
Syria, North Korea, Cuba...any of these ring a bell?
No, no, you idiot! You keep thinking those are the GOOD guys!
Sheesh...some people are beyond hope.

Actually, we do have a national emergency now. A fanatical religious goonball with alcohol-wasted brain cells is in the white house. The Bill of Rights is being shredded. US troops are rampaging all over the Middle East, burning people alive or blowing them apart. Corporations have dropped the humanist, good citizen act they tried out in the fifties and sixties and are openly trying to restore the working conditions of 1910, complete in some cases with a sixty hour workweek. The old idea that only those who can afford it belong in college is being brought back. The draft is sure to be brought back if Bush is elected. The old superstition that social justice will be the result if the free market is allowed to run wild over human beings is actually being discussed with a straight face. There is a lot of work to do.

You really summed it up, dude.
What does FPI have to do with IMC? Nothing. Maybe he's a libertarian trope, tossing the red herring into the soup. Or something like that. Untangle that metaphor.
There are those who believe all the power should be with the government, its armies, and its police. That the only good strike is a preemptive one.
There are those who believe that the law of the Constitution is holy, and the government should hew close to it, the way fundamentalist preachers practice God's law. Well, how some of they practice it; just ignore the ones who screw around.
There are those who think this is a Christian nation, and want us to follow the Sharia, and the word of Allah... umm... I mean, follow the law of God and Jesus.
Then there's the rational folks. Laws are only as good as the people who follow them. The Constitution works only if people believe it works. Government should be minimal, and popular. The only good strike is the one called by the people who do the work. People should live where they want, borders be damned, and nobody is illegal.
Peace.

Apparently, I am the mortal enemy of IMC leftists. They are the only ones I know who would like to silence me.
But they are now, and will forever be, abject failures in this regahttp://la.indymedia.org/process/disclaimer.php

You're just a troll. Your antagonism isn't constructive, it's just disruptive and creates an unfriendly atmosphere. You're like a bawling child who craves attention. Nice going with the new name. Don't you know? Nobody loves you.

Because of you, I'm turning over a new leaf.
I'm going to make it my New Years resolution to stop being so antagonistic around here and start trying to be more constructive. You're absolutely right; my counter attitude doesn't really serve to add anything to the discussions. So I'll try to put a little sugar in the coffee from now on.
For what it's worth though, I've seen others do this and you guys just plug your ears and try to shout them down. Fresca, nonanarchist, BA are all fairly civil with you people and you treat them like mung. So I'd argue that it's not my antagonistic attitude that you despise; it's the message that I bring.
Further, I don't consider myself a troll here. I consider this to be as much my home as it is yours. I've probably spent as much time here as you, if not more, so I'd say that should mean something. But I never came here to stir up trouble. I came here because I was curious about liberals, and radicals and such. I just want to know what makes them tick. Being an American is like being born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and I simply can't fathom what would make someone who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, hate America with such passion. That's what I'm here to try and understand.
And this is something that you leftists have failed miserably to teach me. I think that might have something to do with why I act out around here so much.
But anyway, I'm pretty tired of the mud-slinging around here and the juvenile name calling. So I'll attempt to modify my behavior.
How's that?

Now IMC is trying to harass and defame public schools by libeling me and attaching their IP to it. I wonder it the Department of Homeland Security might be interested in this?

Gee johnk, looks like your kung-fu is weak. I'm disappointed in your haxoring skillz. I'd hoped to have seen my IP in print, since I'm now wintering in beautiful downtown Montevideo. It's a lovely place really. Ever been there?
