Are you pro-democracy or anti-democracy.
You say:
So, I am encouraging pro-democracy advocates from around this country, particularly libertarian socialists, Greens, and non-aligned radical democrats to vote for the Democratic ticket next November.
and:
However, if we are ever to have an opportunity to create an economic and political democracy the current ruler must go.
But then you say:
I understand that meaningful social change has never and will never be brought about through the electoral process,
So if meaningful social change can't happen at the ballot box -- you must be ANTI-democracy.
I do not believe that voting once every few years constitutes a democracy. We are at best a republic and not even really that. Democracy requires the political and economic participation by ordinary people. What we have is an oligarchy masquerading as a republic.
So, is democracy what you get when you have two men in a room and one woman, and they vote on whether to rape the woman. 2-1 she gets raped?
Sounds like a super system.... unless your the woman.
Whose the woman in your paradigm?
