Beware Global Cooling.

by Thompson Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003 at 5:53 PM

Global Cooling is far less kind that Global Warming.

Global warming has not been established as a fact and much evidence still indicates that a recent century long warming trend may be a part of a much larger cooling trend.

Global cooling will not take centures in fact under the right circumstances it can take mere decades or less.

Once a "critical mass" is reached in terms of sunlight/energy re-reflected back into space the earth can cool at an exponential rate.

Glaciation in places like Washington State, Michigan, and New York State can occur very rapidly as seen in Greenland. Tens of feet can be added per year to glaciers as they form across northern latitudes. These compressed ice sheets can not be dealt with easily they require huge amounts of energy to melt. And are far too widespread and frozen to just dig up.

Unlike global warming, global cooling shrinks forest sizes and entraps fresh water in ice pack resulting in a world with less water and more deserts. Human civilization will be compressed into a very narrow temperate zone. Tropical regions will be wiped out or rare at best. The need for fossil fuels and new energy sources will skyrocket at the same time acess to sources of energy will decrease due to encroaching ice pack.

Get informed about global cooling.

IMPORTANT NEW IMAGES, TODAY... for P&C and C/A

There is no chance that world climate will cool - for millions of years. It will take millions of years for anthropogenic CO2 and GW feedbacks to fall, if ever.. and millions of years for oceans to cool after heating up for thousands of years.

Join the discussion at P&C to learn about climate.
