Dear Sir Madam,
I recently reviewed the government UK online Centers website at http://www.dfes.gov.uk/ukonlinecentres/ and found it full of holes that need to be put right.
The Government UK online is aimed at giving everyone training and acess to the internet but i found
25% had no contact email address and 1 in 4 that did were returned
undeliverable. including the main UKonline e mail address centres.ukonline@dfes.gov.uk
In the case of Scotland and Wales no city centers were listed at all.
I have tried emailing constituency members of parliament from the email list at
http://www.parliament.uk/directories/hciolists/alcm.cfm
from the replies i have received their is apparently a protocol that prevents the M.P looking into it unless the issue is raised by someone who lives in their constituency.
Please check what i say out and then contact your MP about it.
may i say i very much like the aim of UK online because it gets more people on the net and of course more people to buy internet related services and product but not if most of the centres are bogus.
By the way, none of the centers listed on UK online have websites listed.
The Government UK online is not very impressive is it ?
