Two U.S. occupation soldiers from 1-8, 3rd Brigade, of the 4th Wank Division relax in the back of their Bradley fighting vehicle before going on a mission into Samarra, Iraq, on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003. A major operation named "Iraqi Ho's Gone Wild" began early Wednesday morning which targeted a large number of Iraqi women. The liberators... taking their cue from spiritual leaders Hugh Heffner and Larry Flynt, have been handing out bikinis to all Iraqi women and girls. (AP Photo/Stefan Zaklin, Pool)

He looks like he's thinking my chances of getting out of here alive may be about equal to the chances of my getting a date with that babe on the poster.

With such HUGELY low numbers of US casualties considering the MASSIVE scope of this war,(not that ONE American soldier's life isn't worth more then the sum total of all the world's islamic facists AND their friends and Family) The chances of this soldier coming home is almost guaranteed.
You know that as well as I do. In fact he'll probably be sporting a necklace made of Iraqi terrorists' ears.

Why don't you ask him to get one for you? Too bad you couldn't obtain a brain or a decent set if ethics the same way. By the way, someone in a war theatre, hearing nearly every day of his compatriots being killed and seeing the hatred in the eyes of the people he is occupying, is not going to think strictly in mathematical terms of odds. The longer they stay there the more depressed and pessimistic they are going to be, which helps to explain the suicides and 7000 plus desertions.

None of that seems to be happening. All reports are that morale is VERY high and, believe it or not Meyer, most of the VOLUNTEER troops over there think that fighting a war against the bugs of Islamofascism is a righteous duty, since these savages attacked us on 9-11.
I bet you would find it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT... and I can't possibly type caps large enough for this...to find more than 3 or 4 soldiers in Iraq who share your blatantly anti-American views.
Remember scumbag, you've suggested, here on this site, that people donate to the cause of the "resistance" by supporting Syria and the subhumans they are exporting to Iraq.
How about just letting our boys light up these bearded scumbags and enjoy it for a change. Is that too much to ask?

I'm afraid it is, by any civilized set of values. By the way, I don't think that even your hero San Diego Harbor Bush is still claiming that the Iraqis were responsible for 9/11; the current line is that "we" are there because Saddam Hussein murdered lots of people - although why "we" were supporting him while he was doing this is never explained. Well, at least some of our boys might help Iraqi women by getting them jobs posing for Hustler and Penthouse - the kind of jobs that women from trailer parks in the US take in order to escape poverty or spousal brutality. More likely they will get jobs sevicing our heroes near their bases. No wonder countries all over the globe are closing such bases.

What a timely question coming from a marxist. You remeber, that exact teaching that brought us the mass murdering of millions of people in the 20th century and beyond.

We are there because of 9-11. Not because he was DIRECTLY involved. Although it's very far-fetched to actually beleive he wasn't helping Al queda in addition to Hamas and their ilk. We are there because of 9-11 because we needed strike back militarily to a CULTURE which has been trying to destroy the civilized world for decades. Not a state or a regime but a culture. Invading Iraq and gaining a foothold in the area is, as far as I'm concerned, all the reason that's neccessary. From Iraq we can base all manner of strikes all over the middle east and finally eradicate these savages.

I hope you ralize what you are saying, because this kind of reasoning would give a Chilean who hates the culture which sponsored Pinochet's coup, an Iranian who hates the culture that kept the murderer/thief/torturer Shah of Iran on his throne, a Mexican who hates the culture that stole half his country, a Cuban who hates the culture whose quaranteen keeps life-saving medicine, or a Vietnames who hates the culture that raped his nation to think that they had a good reason to blow your ass to smithereens.

You seem to know a lot about the psychology of combat.
When and where did you serve?
"...the kind of jobs that women from trailer parks in the US take in order to escape poverty or spousal brutality."
Wow! Your ignorance shouldn't astound me, but I can't help it.
"No wonder countries all over the globe are closing such bases."
Name one. Then name the unit you were in when you saw combat.

More of the same inane drivel that the left is always resorting to.
"If you want war so much how come you don't fight it" presumes, obviously incorrectly as recent video clips can attest to, that our VOLUNTEER army is not FULL of soldiers who are more than happy to actually be in combat and lighting up these filthy islamic bugs.

I'm so glad to have a real combat troop comment about something she has personal experience in. Fresca, wombat warrior.

That's all it CAN do.
Have you noticed that much of Left seems to be defining itself by what it's against, and not what it's for?
Sad, really.

But you're not hearing me talk like I been there, are you?
Reread Meyer's posts, and how he's trying to sound like he intimately knows the mind of the combat soldier.
Then condemn him for his hipocrisy, and quit imagining any coming from me.

The same tired argument that we can't support the war unless we are actually in combat. It's ridiculous.

Can't say that I've been in combat either, although I did serve during time of war and proudly wear the National Defense Service Medal.
Pointing out that a a memeber of the armed forces never served in combat is like complaining about a bad Christmas gift. In reality you should just say thank you and appreciate what they did for you; it's the thought that counts.
Pointing out that a nonservice member never even served (combat being a moot issue) is like pointing out that the son-of-bitch has never done squat for you, no Christmas gifts to speak of or even gripe about ...

How, exactly, have YOU served your country?
What have you done to make the country a better place?
How have you sacrificed for your fellow citizens?

Just like the rest of the typical leftist indymedia buffoons, he probably thinks by spouting off in this forum, and by showing up for the monthly "protest" (complete, with after protest social and cordials) he is sacrificing for the country.
Most of these leftist has never done squat for the country, except cause it problems. But let 'em have at it. The squeaky wheel is the one that gets the grease...

"" Of course I do. And although I despise the culture of extreme islam it has nothing to do with liking or disliking. It has to do with striking back against a well defined culture which crosses state lines and has in no uncertain terms waged war upon us.
THEY started this war. Absolutely.
None of the weak examples you gave in any way relates. But you already know that.
I will, however, give you several EV points for even having the balls to try and sneak Mexico into the mix. Unbelievable.
