The White Rose Journal is a better alternative to LA Indymedia
Why I no longer publish on IndyMedia Due to IndyMedia's willingness to become an harassment tool for rightwing fascists engaging in unethical online behavior, I've decided to stop publishing anything on IndyMedia
I will offer an alternative which is not secretly supported by the FBI, DISA, DARPA, and Cycorp

I'm a reader of Stop Fascism! DeVoy does not publish anything on IndyMedia any longer. He made that choice because it was the only way to prove that he is not the one making these posts in his name.
I went down to Harvard Square to visit DeVoy one Saturday. I live in New England. DeVoy's for real. He's a nice guy. He doesn't deserve this harassment.
DeVoy does own the White Rose Journal and uses it for Boston based activism only. DeVoy has said that he wants to produce an alternative to IndyMedia that is more secure and less prone to abuse by right-wingers.
DeVoy has never made the claim that LA IndyMedia works for COINTELPRO. He has shown that Boston IndyMedia was influenced through personal connection to the harassment campaign against him.
DeVoy does not flood IndyMedia with repeats of the same post.
Join me in silencing KOBE by posting declarations like this one beneath their posts.

Is there any proof or strong evidence that the right-wingers practicing harassment on this site (Bushadmirer, Fresca, Max, etc.) are employed by or affiliated with this KOBE organization?

The question is whether the monikers you mentioned belong to members of KOBE, not whether members of KOBE are harassing this website.
There is no hard evidence that I am aware of that indisputibly links these monikers to KOBE in the form of identity.
It is clear that the mentioned monikers are used by people aligned with KOBE, supporting KOBE goals, and parroting KOBE statements. Any reasonable person would assume that they are KOBE.
KOBE has been linked to Cycorp of Austin, Texas. KOBE has been linked to Sigma Data Systems of Tucson, AZ. Cycorp has been linked, through former IndyMedia volunteer Michael Witbrock, to Boston IndyMedia. Michael Witbrock is a senior manager at Cycorp and Cycorp works directly for the Information Awareness Office.
Cycorp also works for DISA. DISA and Cycorp are part of a project with TAG (http://www.tag.com). TAG is an NSA asset.
Boston IndyMedia should be considered unsafe. The status of LA IndyMedia is unknown. No evidence links LA IndyMedia to KOBE. I doubt that LA IndyMedia is anything other than what it appears to be - a legitimate IndyMedia outlet.

Get a clue, moron.
All of us have condemned the actions of KOBE on this website at one time or other. Pay attention, idiot.
But frankly now, I couldn't care less if KOBE pisses all over indymedia.
You communists don't deserve a website. You're fifth columnists and leftist traitors.
Thank your lucky stars that I'm not in charge of Homeland Security, because this website wouldn't last a week.
I'd gather up all of your personal info too, including KOBE, round up all your asses, and ship you off to Gitmo.
Just for being idiots.

Thanks for the information, Rebel. The nut above must either be off his medication or carrying out instructions from KOBE or his Cointelpro handler.

Hi y'all. If anyone really wants to speculate on if IMC is being infiltrated by cops, there's a meeting tomorrow (Saturday) at the cool new coffee bar in East Hollywood. Check the calendar for details.
It's entirely possible that cops are in IMC. We don't do background checks. People are invited to work on IMC and join the collective to make media and help out radical and progressive projects. Ideologically, we range from anti-war liberal to radical, and some people would call themselves revolutionaries.
We've been accused by revolutionaries of being a liberal organization. I think it's somewhat true. We don't demand that participants have a radical analysis to participate. We allow "conspiracy" articles to be posted, despite the fact these are generally disliked by radicals, especially academic radicals.
The flipside to this is that, traditionally, the police have been attacking the most radical groups engaged in direct action. That's not IMC. The IMC is not doing what Judi Bari was when she was bombed by the cops. It's not doing what Fred Hampton was when he was murdered by the cops. It's not doing what the Black Bloc does at the protests when they get infiltrated by cops, and beat up.
[Maybe IMC should be doing that, but I have my doubts about whether it ever could. There's a lack of central organizing and planning. Despite this, it's hobbled along for three years in LA, with participants going on to different projects, and new people coming in. (We need more new people.) It's real, and it is the chronicle of some kinds of social change in LA. Internationally, the network mutates and grows in beautiful and diverse ways.]
The cops use a bunch of different strategies to stop social change. Here are a few I can recall:
- Divide and conquer - get two groups to start fighting by spreading rumors between them, or find ideological disputes and blow them out of proportion.
- Sow mistrust with the community - spread fake information about a radical group, saying they are violent, want to kill police, hate america, are gangsters, or something like that.
- Get a very small group of people angry, and get them into trouble - seed organizations with people who will spread the idea that destruction, even when people might get hurt, will foment a revolution. When the action happens, get all the participants arrested.
- Take over organizations by becoming leaders in them. Divert peoples energies from productive work and into drudgery so they get turned off to politics. Create pointless work that is meaningless.
- There's one story about an undercover cop who actually married an activist. He beat her. That's a fucked up situation.
These are the things that destroy any organization, not just radical ones. Radicals are just more blind to the bullshit, because we're more prone to daydreams, and it's hard to quantify the rate of social change. Normal organizations are usually about feeding someone's bank account or ego, and it's simple enough to get a balance sheet on these things. (Just count the money or the number of people who want to be seen with you.)
With some consciousness about police infiltration, we can spot it and stop it.

You forgot to talk about some of the more successful IMC activists and participants. These come to mind:
Beth O'brien Andrew McRae Rachel Corrie

What comes to mind to me is what pathetic losers and buffoons you and the other boys in the cheetos crowd are. Rachel at least did something with her short life; while she was standing up to the Israelis troops you were probably zoned out watching Jerry Springer and finishing you 12th beer of the evening.

I think we can file this under "The gubbmint's out to get us! We have to think that way to feel more important than we actually are!"
You bozos aren't worth spending one thin dime of taxpayer money monitoring, swaying, disinfo'ing, or attacking.
Look around yourselves. Count your numbers. Honestly, this time; not like when you claim 50,000 people in a park. Don't assume that every car that honks at you is supporting you; most are just wanting you to get your stupid selves off the street and out of their way.
You claim to speak for the people, yet you fail to see how marginalized you are. You claim to love America, but you clearly hate Americans. You think that chanting and marching are forces for social change.
Your beliefs and opinions are doing more damage to your cause than any fictional government operation.
You sit around and whisper about the revolution, yet none of you is willing to give up more than a couple of hours holding a sign. Put your life on the line? Forget it. You're too valuable to the "cause" to risk your life. The proles need you to lead them, because they're too stupid to think for themselves.
You are totally impotent, and you fail to see it. The vast majority of Americans don't give two sacks of wet dog poop about your position. The next election will undisputedly prove that, but insead of learning from your mistakes and making your position more palatable to Joe Average, you will predictably seethe and whine about "stolen elections" and "pResidents".
Get a big ladder and get over yourselves. We're not here to discredit you; you're doing a fine job of that all on your own.
We're here to laugh and point at the whackos.

If the idea that you buffoons are being used by KOBE, Cointelpro, or some other reactionary organization is like the grassy knoll theory or the theory that right wing forces were involved in 9/11, then that means that it probably has some validity to it.

That applies more to you, after your 12th beer. Corrie had a keen intelligence, courage and a wonderful spirit - things a lout like you could never understand. Have fun watching professional wrestling or re-runs of Hard Copy.

There's a saying down here, in the southeastern United States, where I'm from:
"... doesn't have sense enough to come in out of the rain..."
You heard that one before Meyer?
I think we could refine this locution based on Ms. Corrie's display of "keen intelligence":
"... didn't have sense enough to get out of the way of moving bulldozer..."
If that's your idea of "keen intelligence" then I certainly hope its a trait common to most of you radicals. That way, the rest of us can just sit back and let natural selection take it's course.

It is you who does not have enough sense - to stop making a public fool of yourself on the internet. As for sitting back, I assumed that was what you were doing - sitting back and sipping another beer while watching the Jerry Springer show after composing another imbecile message for this board.

Yes, meyer, that's your main problem.
You ASSume too much.
You like to ASSume.
You are dominated by ASSumptions and are a pompous, ASSuming individual.
I have noticed, however, that your presumptious posts have become fewer and farther between around here. So from that, I'd conclude that , either you've found gainful employment or you're tired of having your ass handed to you.
Possibly both.

Simply type in Meyer on the search feature of this site and you will find plenty of messages. And the only thing you could ever hand me is my grocery bag if I ever accidentally overdosed on cough medicine and went shopping in a scab grocery store.

Another example of just how ignorant this nitwit, Meyer London is:
"simply type in Meyer on the search feature of this site and you will find plenty of messages."
If anyone really cared to read your dribblings, they could just click on the "Read more Meyer London" link next to your name, idiot.
But who does? (Answer: no one)

Of course you were wrong, Max. What were you thinking?
"So from that, I'd conclude that , either you've found gainful employment ...."
Meyer London getting a job? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
He's a socialist. They don't believe in work...

Don't forget to ask the customers if they want paper or plastic, Max; some of them get really angry if you just hand them plastic without asking. And be sure that the cops are around when you exit the building, otherwise those irreverant teenaged cashier girls will make horrible remarks about the size of various parts of your anatomy, not limited to your brain. You know the type that go on strike; they are all floozies. They should not be working anyway - they should all be at home cooking and cleaning for a wonderful man like you.

With his various fixations, Meyer London sounds like he knows far too much about:
1. Plastic bags - probably has an autoerotic asphyxiation fetish.
2. Procedures for supermarket baggers and drugstore cashiers.
3. Snide comments made by teenage girls regarding the male anatomy.
4. Domestic submissiveness to an abusive husband.
All of these things lead me to believe that Myer London is probably a serial rapist or sociopathic malefactor...

That sounds pretty sick Meyer. So what you like to do then is to cause cuts and abrasions to your victims and irritate the wounds while they are trying desparately to heal? You are a twisted individual. Get some help...

Someone like you doesn't have time for such trivial things. Your time is obviously far too valuable. Your people need you to lead the way to the revolution. They need your brilliance to guide them through the upcominc insurgency. Don't you have another thesis to work on? Perhaps you could do a study on how it would benefit America to be ruled by a Politburo comprosed of Castro, Stalin, Hitler, and Mao Zedong or any number of your other heros...
by Meyer London
Tuesday, Dec. 09, 2003 at 10:31 PM
Well, that would be a bit of a problem since Mao, Stalin and Hitler are dead and Hitler was a professional anti-communist and unlikely to want a seat on a politbureau with the others. I can think of a nightmare more realistic - one composed of Bill Parcells, Chuck Norris, Oliver North, Ex-Congressman Dornan, and Vince Lombardi - except that the last named is dead, too. Doesn't Mom get concerned when she sees you staring at those tight ends so intently?
by Max
Tuesday, Dec. 09, 2003 at 10:45 PM
I'm sure in your infinite brilliance you'd be able to quite easily solve that problem. You could propose to the UN that a moratorium be held regarding the ban on cloning humans, long enough for you to have them re-animated. Then, once you've effectively raised them from the dead, you could change you name to Doctor Evil, declare yourself their leader, join force with Saddam Hussein and bin Laden and have them deliver the WMDs to your secret labortory deep in Golan mountains. Then, you and your hairless Himalayan cat, Mr. Bigglesworth, could hold the world hostage and extort from the various Democratic nations the sum of ONE MILLION DOLLARS.
Just throwing those ideas out there for ya...
