Terrible poverty there, I know about this, I've been there.

Entire families, from young, big enough to carry a basket to the oldest available to work, going to the plantations in the morning to earn just money to buy food they would have been able to grow themselves if they had not been driven off of their land.

No time for school if there were any, no land, no hope; clinging to survival.

Sure, they get paid. Starvation wages.

Terrible poverty. Entire families from the youngest to the elderly working in the plantations from sun-up to sun-down to eek out just enough to eat. No land to call your own. No hope. Clinging to survival.
