For Victims Of Santa Monica Farmer’s Market Tragedy & Victims Of AIDS In Kenya
In Chili Cook-Off Launch of St. Monica’s Octoberfair, September 26-28, 2003

THE EVENT: St. Monica’s Church biggest annual fundraiser is drawing celebrities and sponsors committed to help at home and in far-away East Africa. Monsignor Lloyd Torgerson announced that “Dharma & Greg’s” TV’s hippie Earthmom, Mimi Kennedy, TV’s HULK, Lou Ferrigno, and Olympic Hall of Fame ice-skater, Gary Visconti, will participate in events to showcase the fair which will run SEPTEMBER 26-28TH, 2003 at St. Monica’s Church - 725 California Street, Santa Monica, CA. (at Lincoln and California Streets) Kennedy will help kick off the fair activities on Friday night, September 26, 2003 at 6 p.m. with her vegetarian chili entry in the popular Chili-Cook-off. Kennedy is coming home to St. Monica’s (Kennedy now lives in the Valley) to embrace the church which helped her raise her young family back in the 80’s. “I took time off from my career to be with my two children,” says Kennedy. “St. Monica’s was the parish where my husband, teacher Larry Dilg and then tots, Cisco, & Molly, came for spiritual nourishment,” explains Kennedy.

WHO: MIMI KENNEDY – is a unique Hollywood multi-hyphenate, Actress-Author who is an Activist for political, environmental, social, human rights, educational, animal, health, physically challenged, children’s women’s and global issues. An inspiring speaker, mentor and educator, she also is one of the most pro-active and vocal celebrities about the issues which she believes in.
