Sherman Austin Court Documents

by JustInterested Friday, Sep. 05, 2003 at 1:27 AM

If you want to come to a conclusion on your own.

The stories I've seen on the Sherman Austin case are either very low on facts, or published by progressives (where facts don't matter). This guy is LUCKY to have gotten just one year.

He pleaded to a lesser crime... of publishing bomb making how-to's with instruction on how to use them against particular groups (law enforcement).

What you are not hearing is the guy has a record of violent demonstration, and when his apartment was searched, there were IN FACT bomb making materials.

We're bound to hear more from this clown. Progressives will keep this story alive... of course, it will all be anti-Bush stuff, dismissing the actions of Sherman Austin.

There are many facts overlooked

But I think at the end of the day to the majority of people not as "switched on" as the activists here, Sherman is irrelevant. He had many priviliges not afforded to other people and in many cases he abused them. He knew what game he was playing and this instance the state is undefeatable.

At the end of the day his energies could have been better spent out on the streets and educating and helping the people who are really victims. As unjust as the case was, I think I will be spending my time better by helping victims of racism, rape etc. In all essence, Sherman abused his opportunity and knew full well what and why he was doing it for. Just a waste, in fact.

To All you under cover and FPD folks who like post ing garbage

The FBI did not find bomb making material when they searched Sherman's house (not apartment--read the documents before you comment) AND Sherman never committed a violent act…I was there. These are alleged violations that the FBI manufactured to destroy Sherman's character. I urge you to read the facts before you make a statement.

I DID read the facts HERE

See Link

And I quote:

"When investigators raided his apartment Jan 24, they said they discovered a treasure-trove of mischief-making tools. In addition to computers, they found literature advocating revolution, gas canisters, iced-tea bottles filled with flammable material, gas masks and an anarchist flag. Austin's car contained fertilizer, cans of brake fluid and two gas canisters. He runs an anarchist Web site that provides a litany of methods that can be used for urban thuggery - including making explosives. He has been turned over to the feds."

Due to the Feds investing this guy over a span of a few years (even pre Sept 11), Sherman likely had more than one dwelling. And you were NOT there for the MANY instances cited in the FBI reports.

There is more than enough material there to convince me that a) IT IS NOT ALL MADE UP b) THE GUY BELONGS IN JAIL.

Peace out!

One more thing

Your paranoia about me being a Fed and posting Garbage. I do not work for or even KNOW any person in a federal or local law enforcement agency, and you insult YOUR OWN intelligence by mocking me for seeking informationoutside the realm of what the progressive press is spouting (with no facts, just anti-Bush rhetoric).

You know what? I have a lot of liberal views, but I don't like to gloss over facts as a means to further some misguided agenda. I hate seeing the left thinkers in this country standing behind issues and ideals that are based on nothing more than emotion. We need a strong, logical, educated left to keep a balance of power in this country, and I am not seeing it. I see the left as being so completely marginalized that if things keep going the way they are, we will have a majority Right wing for years to come.

Sherman and anybody like-minded absolutely hate this country, and I have no sympathy for the guy.
