Very Curious
As someone who has visited this site alot ove rthe last many months I've grown accustomed to seeing posts by increasingly familiar names. I've posted a few times under random nicks but usually stay in the background.
Lately I've been wondering what happened to the person named "Diogenes". He was here several times a day it seemed and had a very distinct writing style. I'v enot seen his name or his style of posts at all. He seems to have vanished.
I realize that people do stop posting all the time but I've read alot of posts alluding to his disappearence and was wondering if there was something else to the story.
Any info?

He was defeated on the field of battle and driven into exile by Fresca with some help from Josef, Simple Simon, B.A., etc.
Last seen slinking off with tail between legs.

Diogenese decided to not become a martyr. What is so strange about that? It is something beyond the understanding of fascists...
But do not doubt that whereever Diogenes is, that he is still an activist working in his way to protect the genuineness of freedom, and the true aspects of liberty. The scum that would silence him has no strength except that which one might give them. But you know that, if you are a student of history. Police scum, nazis, cointelpro all band together to silence one voice--evenso how clueless of real power they are.
Peace to Diogenes

Last week, 20 heavily armed FBI agents raided his house and took him via military transport to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to face a military tribunal on terrorism charges.
U.S. Attorney General John Aschroft issued an order declaring him to be an "enemy combatant" for the messages he was posting on the la.indymedia.org site that were critical of the Bush administration.
If Diogenes is lucky, he'll be out of Federal Prison in about 20 years.

To Diogenes We are all dead Some die laying down Some die standing up. Offer to Oden the Gift of your blade. Wet with your Enemy's Blood. .

Diogenes In all the time you were here No one brought forward truth as you Go forward warrior Onward to you destiny. Times like these we need our heros Holding on to what is true Ever striving for peace. Distant though these goals may seem Until we succeed we will not stop May we all find love along the way Before we die in hopelessness Another soul may we inspire Seeing a world that is truly free Seeing a world of love and peace.

After a while, they start batch deleting posts by certain people, regardless if their posts have any political relevance pertinent to the threads. How juvenile! What's left are responses to posts which have disappeared, ruining the continuity of the given thread.
Now I am routinely deleted just because of my name. So, I will simply post here under a different name each time, and I will have a trademark to identify me.

Thank you, Diogenes for all the time you gave us. It was educational and entertaining. I miss ya. Be good, take care.

How ironic. Myself and others, point out the fact that dio is obviously some paid asshole, sent to paint the left as even more ludicrous then they already are, and when he bails out, because his cover is blown, the very assholes who he was here to undermine, post eulogies and tear filled farewells.
Unbelievable.
sheepdog et.al. have been thouroughly duped.

The censors delete a thread which is conservative, like yours or mine, then they leave the myriad responses in place, ignoring the fact that the thread no longer has continuity. Open publishing? AHAHAHAHAH.

We respect the basic human right of freedom of expression.
Until you disagree with us. Then your posts are history.
However, we will still insist you are not being repressed; the claim of repression is reserved solely for leftists posting on conservative sites.
We barely skirt the "deleted posts" issue by moving said posts to a special hidden file...which happens to have only one small, obscure link to it from the main page, which nobody ever sees anyway. Never mind the fact that the threads with deleted posts now no longer have any continuity, and, in many cases, have regular posters appearing to argue with themselves.
But never mind all that. We are the Kollektive. Resistance is futile; you will be assimilated.
